Raven78’s on the set of the Living Dead
Nice Mace. My gym has a guy that is an instructor for these BAMF hammers. BAMF Hammer l Body Building & Mobile Functionality Hammer – BAMFHammer He might actually be the owner, as his truck has the LOGO all over it. Anyway, I tried playing with one and really looked silly doing it. Not as easy as it looks. Reminds me of your mace.

Shane’s Over 35 Shenanigans
Thanks Trent. Well there you go, 30 reps. You will smash that next time you try. I do like doing these really high rep. My shoulders are pumped after them. Keep it up and you will be repping out multiple sets of them soon too.
What’s your morning routine?
Honestly, my morning routine isn’t anything special I usually check my phone as soon as I wake up and end up scrolling through TikTok way longer than I planned. Then I realize I need to get up, make some coffee, and actually start my day. I try to wake up earlier when I have things to do, but sometimes those extra 15 minutes in bed turn into half an hour. I guess I’m still working on building better habits. Anyone else gets stuck scrolling first thing in the morning? 😀
The Return of Even More Movies You’ve Watched This Week III
I watched about a half of “The Smashing Machine” last night. I really liked what I saw. There were many great small details that sucked me in! Kerr’s voice inflection, Paul Varelens’ fighting stance, Mark Coleman’s EZ chair, even Sakuraba’s orange shorts. Some scenes/conversations were taken directly from the OG Smashing Machine documentary that I saw once like 20 years ago. Or news stories or just general perception of MMA around ’98-2000. It really took me back! I’m excited to finish it up

Shane’s Over 35 Shenanigans
Great job this morning Shane! Between the sled push/pull and then the 5K on the rower, I think I’d rather swim 200 laps or run 10 miles than do that. Way to get it done man! I tried your huge max reps set on HS IL SP. Only got 30 reps but that is probably decent for a mere mortal like me. Still no clue how you’re repping out 40 for multiple sets.

Friedrich is Beyond 35... Really Beyond
I think we can all get behind the Brewers. I am of the opinion baseball needs a hard salary cap in place of the CBT. If it ends up being Brewers and Cleveland, I am rooting for Cleveland. They have the league’s lowest payroll at 79 million.
How to balance school/responsibilities/fun
How do I balance school, responsibilities, and having my own fun, without: Slacking behind on grade Being lazy and not doing my various responsibilities (including working out and diet) Being depressed because nothing is fun except work, which might only be fun because it distracts me from feeling depressed/lonely The main thing is how do have more fun without eating into other stuff? How to hang out with people? I’ve had a friend over to my house a singular time in my life, and I didn’t know

SST (Simplest Strength Training)
Yeah, you could, but honestly SST is kind of designed as a self-contained 3-week cycle, so running it “as written” is basically the same thing. The leader/anchor setup works best when the supplemental stays the same all cycle and the waves do the talking — with SST the supplemental changes every week anyway, so plugging it into 2/2/2 doesn’t really buy you anything extra. One approach people take: run something with steady supplemental like BBB or FSL for the leaders, then use SST as the anchor. Either way it’d work fine.

Just swimming that far is impressive. I am not a great swimmer, but I can’t imagine swimming that many laps. Everytime I start swimming my lats blow up and seem to get tired quickly.
Shane’s Over 35 Shenanigans
Idk why they seem easy to me. Must be all that KB pressing I did all year but pressing on a machine feels really easy. Give it a go, you might surprise yourself. Yeah, the steam room is nice. Good way to relax for a bit.
One Brick at a Time
Week 5, 15-10-2026: Upper B Seated DB Press - 4, 3 x 32 kg, 5, 4 x 28 kg. Messed up by going for the 32s for on my second set, but first set felt strong. Will attempt 34s next week if shoulders feel good, but keep the back off sets solid. High Incline DB Press - 3 x 8 x 26 kg - Shoulder was a bit sore after failing with the 32s, so focused on controlled solid reps. Wide Grip Pulldown - 4 x 6-8 @ ~75 kg. Made no significant progress on vertical pulls in a month, might need to reconsider programming DB Flyes SS Rear Delt Flyes
