My boots sold but no longer had the box
So maybe I'm just overthinking this all of a sudden but I'd like to hear some opinions. Usually when I list shoes or boots and take pictures, I will include pictures of the original box. I just sold a pair of tall boots of which I didn't have the box anymore. I live in a small apartment and keeping all of the boxes just takes up more space than storing them in my shoe rack. So for this listing, there were no pictures of the box as I didn't have it.
Reupload Advice
I know the T&Cs now say no re-uploading blah blah blah, but does that include a completely new listing with new pictures description etc. I’ve begun putting a lot more effort into listings the last month and want to try again with my listings that are year plus older. Having a crap time financially lately and could do without getting banned 😂 submitted by /u/DoTheStxdge [link] [comments]
SpeedX just fraudulently marked by order as delivered
My first time choosing SpeedX as the carrier. It "delivered" to my college's mail center (on a weekend, when they do not accept packages.) The pictures they uploaded to prove delivery date to months ago, according to the mail center staff- they have received these same pictures from SpeedX when no actual delivery took place. The cones outside were there in august, and the picture even says august in the upper corner. The driver has overlaid the supposed delivery date and info on all pictures.
Buyer left me on read after I pointed out a small flaw on an item they bought. Should I ship or cancel/wait?
Hey guys, need a bit of advice on what to do here. So I sold a bucket hat earlier today. Before packing it up, I double checked it and noticed a tiny mark. Tbh the mark was already pretty visible in the listing photos, but I wanted to be nice and double check with the buyer just to make sure they saw it. I messaged them about it and they replied asking for a picture. I sent a clear photo over and… they just left me on read. 💀 Now I’m kind of stuck.
Is this a scam?
Hey Vinted people! I'm trying to sell an expensive shark tower fan that I bought over the summer. There's a buyer that says they're are interested and will buy at full price, but only if they see the full serial number, claiming that many online are fakes. I've never had an interaction like this before. They don't believe me when I've show them a pic of the fan registered on shark's website. It's quite bizarre. The profile has no reviews and isn't selling anything so I got quite suspicious.
New seller needing advice
Hello, everyone. This is my first time posting here. I just want some advice on how to actually sell stuff. I feel like I'm doing it wrong or something because of how many people say that they sell so much in their first week on vinted. I'm currently selling this dress for 5 dollars, which I think is pretty cheap, lots of people are favoriting it but no one's buying it. Do I need to lower the price even more? I already lowered it twice and sent people offers. submitted by /u/Separate_Bottle_5565 [link] [comments]
Why even bother posting?
I made the mistake of not checking reviews and ordered a cute wallet from this member. They have a lot on their page and declined my offer for the wallet almost immediately, but I wanted it so bad, I paid for asking anyway (about $4 more). Then…crickets. They didn’t send it so I got the automatic refund. When checking their account, I learn they’ve NEVER sent an order. Why even bother taking the time to post if you’re not willing to follow through with sending? submitted by /u/sigheyeroll [link] [comments]
No, Your cats on the clothes are not cute!
Sorry, but someone has to say it. I'm scrolling through Vinted and every third listing has a cat lying on the clothes. On the jumper, in the coat, tail hanging out of a sleeve. Your cat is probably lovely. But I'm not buying a cat, I'm buying a coat. And now I'm staring at the photo wondering how much fur is in there, because it's definitely not coming out in one wash. It also doesn't look clean. Cats lick themselves, walk through their litter, and sleep wherever they want, and you're putting that on the thing you're trying to sell me?
What Would You Do?
So I bought this playpen from someone on Vinted and apparently they weren’t able to fit it all into one box so they sent me a separate one outside of Vinted’s shipping... Would you guys offer to pay for the shipping? She didn’t explicitly ask but why else would she tell me the price? I don’t really feel comfortable doing it outside of the app, plus If I wanted to pay that price I would have bought one brand new. I feel bad that seller paid $44 for shipping but I also didn’t ask them to do that.
Can someone explain if these listings are scams or not?
I keep seeing listings for beautiful blankets and rugs that are around this price range. Most of the listings say “from my online boutique” and none of the sellers have a profile pic or any reviews. Seems like it could be a brushing scam or something? I almost bought 2 listings like this but something in my gut is telling me it won’t be worth the hassle… please lmk if anyone has experience with purchasing listings like what i’m describing! submitted by /u/Bastetkittycat [link] [comments]
AI is ruining Vinted and I hate it
More and more AI-generated photos are showing up on my Vinted homepage... I’m so sick of it. People seem to think they’ll sell better by presenting an idealized image of the garment; it’s misleading and lazy. Usually, these are accounts packed with tons of items. I try to report them, but there are just too many. Is it really that hard for Vinted to put a stop to this? In most cases, it’s so obvious! Rant over. submitted by /u/Frankenzak [link] [comments]
When your first Vinted purchase looks like this
I finally received my first order from Vinted but the shock horror I had seeing this packaging made me wonder if I had been scammed! Luckily the dress I ordered was intact inside but I had so much anxiety opening this up. For Vinted, this wasn't exactly the cheapest purchase but it was a bargain. I sent them a message about the packaging—I think it was polite enough? I think I'll leave a 3 or 4 star review though because really, this shouldn't be okay. submitted by /u/Appropriate_Web6207 [link] [comments]
Has it finally happened, am I being scammed?
Would you collect the parcel or let it get returned? Possible scam? I've got an order coming from the USA, heading to an InPost locker. A few days after shipping, I received this message from the seller. I've asked for tracking for the second parcel (which they claim contains my actual item), but they've left me on seen. I'm also confused about where they'd even send this second parcel, as they don't have my home address, only the InPost locker details.
