Cedar Plank Salmon the Right Way

Cedar plank salmon but we’re actually letting the cedar burn 🔥🐟 No soaking the plank. No wet-wood sauna. The whole point is to get that cedar hot enough to char and create real smoke flavor. Seasoned with Smoke Trails BBQ Rib Rub, smoked on the Oklahoma Joe’s Laredo, then finished with BBQ sauce until glossy and tacky. I usually pull salmon around 130°F for a juicy finish that still keeps the family happy. The BEST BBQ Meatballs You Will Ever Eat!

These Smoked Elk Meatballs are an easy and delicious way to turn wild game into a killer BBQ appetizer or meal. We’re using elk in this recipe, but you can absolutely substitute your favorite wild game or even ground beef. The meatballs go onto a traditional offset smoker where we cook them low and slow, allowing them to pick up plenty of smoke flavor. Once they reach around 150°F internal temperature, we brush them generously with BBQ sauce and return them to the smoker just long enough for that sauce to tack up and get nice and sticky. These Smoked Elk Meatballs are smoky, juicy and packed with flavor. They’re a great way to use your wild game harvest and make an awesome appetizer for game day, deer camp or any backyard BBQ! • Set up idea

Here's something I came up with for a KJ grill setup. The chicken is on now, but opinions please. Some critics say 2 zone grilling isn't possible. Yes, I used briquets, no lighter fluid, they're B&B. I'm not worried about it. Walled off about a 3rd of bowl area with fire brick. Piled charcoal behind brick, same as I do on Weber kettle. Half moon plate on top. Grill still sits down on top of divide and conquer, over the brick. Experiment submitted by /u/randombrowser1 [link] [comments]
