What's the BEST Fat to Add to Deer Meat?

What's the best fat to add to deer meat? We put beef fat, Wagyu beef fat, bison fat, pork fat, bacon, and straight venison head-to-head to find out. We start with an Ohio whitetail buck, break down the carcass, debone it, and grind a 2 lb batch with each fat. Along the way, Seth and Scott share the tips we use every season to get deer meat ready for grinding: trimming silver skin, getting blood from the shot out of the meat, keeping everything cold, and more. Then Hannah takes over at the grill, cooks a burger from every batch, and we taste them all to settle it: which fat makes the best deer burger? Whether you process your own deer or take it to a butcher, this will help you decide what to ask for before your next grind. Looking for fat to add to your game meats? The CRISPIEST Lemon Pepper Wings You'll Ever Make!

These Double Fried Lemon Pepper Wings might be some of the crispiest wings you’ll ever eat! We’re using a double fry method to get that perfect golden brown, crunchy exterior while keeping the chicken juicy and tender on the inside. The secret is frying the wings twice. The first fry cooks the chicken through, while the second fry takes that crispy skin to another level. As soon as the wings come out of the hot oil, we hit them with a generous coating of Meat Church Lemon Pepper seasoning so it sticks perfectly to every bite. Then we grate fresh lemon zest right over the top for an extra pop of bright, citrus flavor. These wings are incredibly crispy, packed with bold lemon pepper flavor and absolutely delicious without needing any sauce. Whether you’re cooking for football season, a backyard party or just craving some killer wings, this recipe is a must-try! How to frog your turkey

I've started frogging my turkeys instead of spatchcocking and I'm liking the method alot. Way faster cook times, more even cooking, easier than spatchcocking because you just need to cut through some weak rib cage bones rather than down the spine. The oysters stay intact as well. Main disadvantage is it takes up way more space, but I do 2x smaller 10lb turkeys instead of 1 big one so not a huge deal for me. I'd definitely be concerned doing a 20+lb turkey like this in a regular oven though. #turkey #thanksgiving

The BEST Gameday BBQ Meatballs You Will Ever Eat!

These Smoked Elk Meatballs are an easy and delicious way to turn wild game into a killer BBQ appetizer or meal. We’re using elk in this recipe, but you can absolutely substitute your favorite wild game or even ground beef. The meatballs go onto a traditional offset smoker where we cook them low and slow, allowing them to pick up plenty of smoke flavor. Once they reach around 150°F internal temperature, we brush them generously with BBQ sauce and return them to the smoker just long enough for that sauce to tack up and get nice and sticky. These Smoked Elk Meatballs are smoky, juicy and packed with flavor. They’re a great way to use your wild game harvest and make an awesome appetizer for game day, deer camp or any backyard BBQ! Reverse Seared Chicken Thighs | Traeger Grills

Best new cooking method for chicken. Reverse Seared Chicken Thighs 🔥 We put our favorite steak technique to the test on chicken thighs, and the results did not disappoint. Smoky, juicy, with crispy, golden skin. Here's how we did it: Smoke Low: Set your Traeger to 225°F and cook until the thighs reach 140°F internal. We expected 60–90 minutes, but they got there quicker than anticipated. Cook to temp, not time. Crank the Heat: Pull the thighs off and increase your Traeger to 450°F. Sear: Place the thighs skin-side down for 6–7 minutes, or until they reach 170°F internal for tender, juicy dark meat and crispy skin. Who's tried this before?👇 #TraegerGrills #Traegerhood #ReverseSear #ChickenThighs #GrillingTips
