What's the BEST Fat to Add to Deer Meat?
What's the best fat to add to deer meat? We put beef fat, Wagyu beef fat, bison fat, pork fat, bacon, and straight venison head-to-head to find out. We start with an Ohio whitetail buck, break down the carcass, debone it, and grind a 2 lb batch with each fat. Along the way, Seth and Scott share the tips we use every season to get deer meat ready for grinding: trimming silver skin, getting blood from the shot out of the meat, keeping everything cold, and more. Then Hannah takes over at the grill, cooks a burger from every batch, and we taste them all to settle it: which fat makes the best deer burger? Whether you process your own deer or take it to a butcher, this will help you decide what to ask for before your next grind. Looking for fat to add to your game meats? The CRISPIEST Lemon Pepper Wings You'll Ever Make!
These Double Fried Lemon Pepper Wings might be some of the crispiest wings you’ll ever eat! We’re using a double fry method to get that perfect golden brown, crunchy exterior while keeping the chicken juicy and tender on the inside. The secret is frying the wings twice. The first fry cooks the chicken through, while the second fry takes that crispy skin to another level. As soon as the wings come out of the hot oil, we hit them with a generous coating of Meat Church Lemon Pepper seasoning so it sticks perfectly to every bite. Then we grate fresh lemon zest right over the top for an extra pop of bright, citrus flavor. These wings are incredibly crispy, packed with bold lemon pepper flavor and absolutely delicious without needing any sauce. Whether you’re cooking for football season, a backyard party or just craving some killer wings, this recipe is a must-try! My daughter is having her birthday party soon (turning 4) and my wife at first suggested pizza but I think we can save money and make something better at home. What’s a good bulk meal to feed kids and adults? I don’t think toddler want smash burgers lol Was thinking just a bunch of chicken and brats on the flattop and throw some frozen fries in the oven submitted by /u/Cornontheja_cob [link] [comments]

Traeger Flatrock score
My wife had been nagging me to take back this shitty lamp she bought and was too lazy to return it herself. Okay fine. I don’t mind a trip to HD. While there I needed some pellets and walked right on by a 2-burner Flatrock that was discounted to 399.99. I wasn’t sure if my military discount would stack and the cashier was pretty sure it wouldn’t but she hooked it up with a 20% additional stacked discount and it brought it down for 320.00. Not a bad day to return a lamp!
Need advise on install hood vent
I recently purchased a Lynx 36 grill and have been very pleased with it—the food comes out delicious. However, because there is no vent, I sometimes get trapped smoke, which has stained the ceiling. I also have a screen behind the grill, where I replaced the fiber screen with this type to help prevent wind and dust. I hope someone has a solution to this problem. submitted by /u/jeffasadi [link] [comments]
Looking to get into smoking, found this Pit Boss PB1600PS1 for $150, but needs a new hopper? Is it worth it?
Here’s the description: Brand new Pit Boss. Bought a year ago went I worked at Lowe’s. It was damaged in the warehouse. Hopper box was dented in. I bought a handle and ordered a hopper box.but they would only send a new handle so I decided to fix the hopper because but tired of messing with it. Cider Brined Pork Chops Recipe
Learn how to make cider brined pork chops that stay juicy, tender, and full of flavor on the grill. In this Project Smoke episode recipe, pork chops are soaked in a lemon ginger cider brine, smoked low and slow, then finished over high heat for a perfectly moist, smoky result. Pork chops can dry out fast on the grill, but this method helps lock in moisture while adding a subtle sweet, tangy flavor from apple cider, lemon, and ginger. It is an easy way to level up your grilled pork chops and get delicious results every time. Smoked Redfish Collars
One of life’s little gifts from living on the Gulf Coast is that occasional call from a friend Insisting I left my Redfish in the deep well of his boat, and I need to run down there and get it. 😉 So I found myself yesterday with a monster. I cut the filets off keeping the scales on for Redfish on the half shell. I then cut off the collars, and was thinking about smoking them, as much as we love Redfish I’m thinking it would make a great smoked fish dip. Any ideas or tips? submitted by /u/Coasta_de_Tejas [link] [comments]

Store a brand new Blackstone in the shed over the winter?
I just received a Blackstone griddle as a gift but I'm not planning to use it before next summer for various reasons, is it fine if I throw the box in the shed for winter time or I should keep it inside instead? I'm worried about rust as I don't have time/energy to assemble it and season it before storing. Is there any factory seasoning on it preventing it from rusting in a shed? submitted by /u/Henri-Hill [link] [comments]
First brisket in years!
Finally had the chance to make a brisket on my cheapo offset and I think it turned out great! I’ve posted on here years ago as a teenager and I sort of left the hobby because meat prices became insane in SoCal, but my friend bought one and I made it for his birthday. I sort of butchered the point when slicing but it was still pretty good. Smoked with mesquite. submitted by /u/BigStructure_330 [link] [comments]
