I think one of my favorite bits of (unintentional) comedy in 40K is when two sides are fighting and a third one unexpectedly shows up
Like let’s say it’s Sisters of Battle vs Orks and they’re both really dug in but then a chaos warband or something shows up and there’s just a collective “Oh, God damn it,” from everyone, not cuz the unexpected side is superior but just because it’s something they have to divert attention to. It happens quite a lot in Ciaphas Cain’s novels but I also really like when it happens in campaign books like Operation Imperator with the Leagues of Votaan or the Nachmund Gauntlet books. submitted by /u/Bryguy150 [link] [comments]
Easier to assemble kits for physically and or mentally disabled
Hey guys I started building Warhammer about seven years ago and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with it. My daughter Serena age 11. Loves to build with duplos. We kind of did that together at the table but now she’s getting more interested in Warhammer. She is very low functioning autistic. She has seizures and most recently due to a complication with her anti-seizure medication she has gotten very sick. It’s called it’s called Stephen Johnson syndrome. If your parents do not look it up, it is a hell that I would not wish on my own worst enemy.
Progress on my first chaos demon model
He’s been sitting in my storage for a while cause I got sidetracked with other projects, but I finally got around to painting him. And I think he’s looking great so far. I still need to do his wings, and base. I just thought I’d share my progress. Also his sword is supposed to look like blue flames, and it looks a lot better in person. The camera was just having a hard time capturing it. What do you think? submitted by /u/Dry-Peanut-2479 [link] [comments]
My third ever miniature
Im so proud how it turned out. This is the 3rd miniature Ive ever painted. Ive only painted two Stormcast Eternals before. Took me about 25 hours to finish it but was a lot of fun. What do you think? Any advice on how I could improve it for the next time? I have 2 more RatOgors to paint (different color schemes, etc) I have an insta account if u want to check my progress!! submitted by /u/NapalmArchive [link] [comments]
Hypothetical question
(Image probably irrelavent) What would the possible consequences and losses be for the imperium, chaos, tyranids, and other factions consist of if something like the necrons managed to close or destroy the warp permanently? I already know this would make any kind of warp travel impossible and most star systems will become stranded an inaccessible. Heres where it could be different. For the chaps gods, they almost entirely rely on the warp for daemons to enter realspace. Without that, what would happen?

Thinking of listing some of my work on eBay
NB - I’m not looking to sell here, this is purely just to gauge whether I qualify as a “professionally painted miniature” Brothers, I’m thinking of listing some minis on eBay. If the response is good, I might make it a little side-project. I ain’t gonna ask the classic “how much is XYZ worth”, but I would like to know whether you think I’ve got the chops to be selling on eBay as a professional painter? submitted by /u/HeavyMetalHobbyist [link] [comments]
