Best Buy for commander staples?
What do you all think is the best, budget friendly way to get a large number of commander staples to jumpstart a collection? Precons? Collections? Singles? Wanting to get cards that can go in many different deck types and be reused each time a deck is broken down Thinking for someone who will want to make more than just one or two decks. What are the things you're not willing to compromise on?
With EDH being a social format that often requires a bit of give and take between everyone to run smoothly, we all usually have to make some kind of sacrifice to have a consistently good time. What’s your worst trait as a commander player?
I’ll go first. My worst trait is that when others are playing I’ll often get into a rhythm of advising them on the optimal thing to do, even if they were already going to do that, although a player telling me to stop usually makes me stop. This also means that I will point out when it’s best to target me even when I’d die for it, which has caused some players to also trust me a lot when I explain why they should hit me with massive removal. However, it’s a very annoying habit, all the same.
Out of annoyance with my pod, I have created "The Unwritten 21 Rules Of Commander". A labor of frustration
Clarifying Note: These are not my rules. These are the rules which people seem to want. I don't want them. You can only do two things a turn. It is debatable whether or not drawing and playing a land counts as those things. You cannot fog. You cannot play any tax effects. You cannot win except through combat damage. You cannot pull ahead and be a threat. You cannot ask me to pay anything. You cannot play a card worth more than $10 dollars. You cannot remove things. You cannot play on my turn.
You have reached the end of this list.
