Bing Testing Popular Links
Microsoft is testing adding the label "Popular Links" to the Bing search results sitelinks. This reminds me of the Google top pages test and variations of that. This test was spotted by Khushal Bherwani who posted the following screenshot on X: Here is his post: ð Bing is testing 'Popular Links' within sponsored ads. We've previously seen a similar test with Google Ads showing 'Top Pages' links. Google story Coverver by @rustybrick here - https://t.co/hDuePhfAzM https://t.co/tymxAoto3V

Google has updated the indexing API documentation; this includes three different pages within the documentation. I think the big takeaway is that Google removed the old approval process and initial testing explanation, the sitemap recommendation, and, most importantly, the default quota details.

How Do We Move Forward if the SERP Is Generative?
What happens when Google shows rank trackers a different results page and search results become interactive experiences built on the fly? Mike King breaks down Derek Perkin's (Nozzle) findings on “poisoned SERPs” and demonstrates Genraggle, his proof of concept for generative search results. From travel planners to product comparisons and calculators, the demo explores what happens when tools that once earned website visits appear directly in search. Genraggle is an experiment, not a look inside Google’s production systems. But it raises urgent questions for SEOs: What gives users a reason to click? And how do you measure visibility when one ranking check can’t tell the whole story? We discuss: • Poisoned results and the limits of rank tracking • Generative UI and the changing role of websites • Content that earns the click • Repeated sampling, visibility distributions, and Google Search Console CHAPTERS 00:00 Introduction 00:30 What are poisoned SERPs? 02:24 Comparing clean and poisoned results 03:20 Generative search demos 07:37 How Genraggle builds a results page 12:03 What this means for marketers 12:51 Where content strategy and measurement go next 14:46 How rank tracking needs to evolve Check out the tool: https://ipullrank.com/tools/genraggle/ The deep dive blog post - How Do We Move Forward if the SERP Is Generative?: https://ipullrank.com/generative-serps And iPullRank: https://ipullrank.com/
