Myth of Science Ep. 1: The Myth of Progress
Since the Scientific Revolution, we've been telling ourselves a very specific narrative about our own history, one that's so biased even secular scholars now refer to it as the "myth of progress." But myth or not, it still rules our imaginations. A Prediction about Asymmetries in Math, Physics, and Computer Science
What an amazing few months it’s been for math. I just want to make a few predictions before the rest of the world figures this out. There were two problems with classical mathematics. The first was about infinity, which I’ve covered ad nauseam. The second is about information. Specifically, the discarding of relevant information from our mathematical constructions. Even more specifically, the treating of zero and non-zero as the same value. This happens absolutely everywhere in math and physics.

Convergence
Today I sit down with former Cook County Prosecutor Gregg Owen to discuss their book, Convergence. This story seems impossible. But every word is true. Convergence is the account of a vicious double homicide in 1970s Chicago and a trial that almost didn't happen. This is a different kind of true crime book.It isn't a mystery, because the killer was arrested right away. It's not a police story, although Convergence is there at every step of their investigation. It's not a defense lawyer's story.

Eat My Flesh? Baptize My Baby? Dr. Craig Responds to Fr. Mike Schmitz, John Piper, and Kevin DeYoung
A viral clip from Fr. Mike Schmitz claims that Protestants who take Jesus’ words in John 6 seriously end up becoming Catholic. Dr. Craig explains why the bread of life discourse doesn’t require eating Christ’s literal flesh, and why that claim overlooks the many non-Catholic traditions that also affirm a real presence. He then weighs in on John Piper and Kevin DeYoung’s friendly exchange over baptizing infants, and asks whether baptism is really the new covenant’s counterpart to circumcision.
