Puritan Board Progression
Hey friends, I’ve been on PB for about a year now and I have been thankful for all of your thoughts, suggestions etc. One thing I noticed off the bat is that people have different titles I.e. Freshman, Doctor, Graduate. Maybe I just missed this but I’m trying to figure out how the system works. Is it based on how many posts and replies you have, how long you’ve been on here, or something else? Just curious thanks.
Tyndale’s Works - what to read?
Brothers, For Reformation Sunday (Oct 25), I am preaching on William Tyndale's life and how he gave his life for the Word of God, anchoring my sermon in Psalm 119:161-168. I've read most of Tyndale's biography by Daniel Dennett, but little of his actual works. The Reformed Divines & Schism
Happy Lord's Day! I've been thinking for a while, especially the last few days, about whether anyone has enough knowledge of 16-17th century theologians, especially the Scottish divines, on the topic of schism. Richard Ackerman (aka, Redeemed Zoomer) uses excerpts from the reformers and other divines (especially the Scottish commissioners) to justify his theology of schism, and I'm skeptical of his claims regarding them as I've only heard his reading of them and feel that I may not be... Mark’s Usage of “At Hand” / ἤγγικεν at the Beginning and End of the Gospel
My caveat here is that these are just some crude notes I was working on Monday night so I am happy to accept any criticism below. Doing some study on Mark and was surprised that I could not find a single reputable resource online that looks at comparing the usage or structure of Mark 1:1-15 vs
