To Judge Or Not To Judge
The terms “judge,” or “judgment,” are used in different ways in the Scriptures. Their meanings and usage are mainly governed by the context in which they are found. When they mean to condemn, to sentence, or to punish, man is usually to leave the prerogative with God. Vengeance is mine, I will

Jesus drowning a bunch of pigs

Hebrew Scrolls
Why did Hebrew scrolls apparently fizzle out with Chronicles roughly 5 centuries before Jesus. Did they run out of God material? They had been on a roll up to that point and even though Chronicles left them expecting a King, they missed the boat on that one so things were still left open until today. You'd think after another 2500 years they would have added a scroll or two if the NT means nothing to them. Did they go silent back then or are there scrolls since that we don't hear about?
Can A Man Become God?
If a man was born only a human, and that man had never sinned in his life, and that man was then filled with all the fullness of the Deity in his bodily form, being given access to all the divine properties of God, and that man was now able use all those divine properties in himself in the exact same way that God does, being omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent, and omnificent just as God is, would that man be now equal to God? If not, why not?

Going from young earth creationism to atheism?

Is it true to say that Evolution and Genesis cannot be reconciled?
God put Adam to sleep, and took a bone and from that created the first female on earth. That is clearly what Genesis says. I see no possible way that can be reconciled with the theory of evolution. Why? Because TOE says that mankind descended from animals.

Is Theology a journey or a destination?

My old atheist thoughts are destroying my faith
I used to be an atheist, but thankfully it didn't take long for me to realize that happiness and peace lay in religion. However, the reasons I found for being an atheist and the philosophical questions I asked myself are now making it seriously difficult for me to believe, and this is weighing heavily on me. I want to believe, but one part of me is suppressing the other. Do you have any advice?

On the meaning and applicability of 1 Timothy 2:12-14
1 Timothy 2:12-14 is probably the only passage in the Bible that I find severely challenging. That isn't because I dislike its contents or because it doesn't match with what I've been taught previously, but it's because I simply cannot figure out how to get it to fit with the rest of Scripture. It feels as if I had a car where all the pieces perfectly fit together, except for this one weird thing that just refuses to go in its spot no matter how I try to put it in. I don't know if there is... Read more

Does Daniel 9:27 parallel with Daniel 11:23, 31?
This is something I just noticed and I’d like to get other peoples opinions. Does the “alliance“ made with the king of the north at Daniel 11:23 parallel with the “strong covenant” made with many for one week at Daniel 9:27? Also, Does the taking away of the regular burnt offering and the

Asking for prayer
I started having leg pain last year and thought I had pulled a muscle. The pain started to move around and became unbearable at night. The only relief I could get was to put ice packs on my leg and take pain pills. My Doctor told me I had nerve pain and I had an MRI and have several issues with
God’s Holy Word
The Bible is God’s Holy Word. The saints of God it’s truly served. It’s written down, and so preserved By those who, of the Word, they heard. The Scriptures are the words of God. To some, they find them truly odd. To others, they are works of gold, They minister to young and old. The gospel is

our God is a consuming fire
our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29) Hebrews 12:25 See that you do not refuse the one who is speaking; for if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less will we escape if we reject the one who warns from heaven! 26 At that time his voice shook
They say baptism is regenerative what advice you have before a person ever touches the baptism pool?
I hear triple immersion in the Trinitarian formula and that's what I'm going to do. I feel chastened to give up all sin right before the day I get dunked in, I already practiced although I know self-baptism doesn't count I did 3 dunks to see how it's like, I held my nose and closed my eyes, I only open my eyes when I get out of the water. So I hear a struggling sinner is still good to go for the baptism, what else I need to know?
Unshakably (The Story Behind It)
So, on November 29, 2018, the Lord Jesus led me to begin to write a new song. Now, that is not a simple task, even for a song that is home recorded, or especially for a song that is amateurishly home recorded, whatever the case may be. For, this one took four days to write from beginning to end
Sperm Whales with a passing reference to Jonah
I was in the city today and as I was waiting at the railway station there was a video advertising a new movie featuring a diver being swallowed by a whale (“Whalefall”). I didn’t take much notice but it got me briefly thinking about the story of Jonah (which I regard as a fairy tale), and in

They Still Did Not Repent
I am reading in Revelation 9 about the kinds of things which will take place on the earth during the tribulation period prior to Christ’s return. One of them is that God will send locusts, with the power like that of scorpions, to torment all the people on the earth who do not have the seal of
AI as a “superior intelligence”?
I was wondering what Christians think about the idea that AI could one day be “superior” to human intelligence. Note Trump talked about this in a speech to the UN and his current preference is calling it “super intelligence”. It reminds me of an ending to the video game “Deus Ex” where an AI
If at the end I decide to remain a Protestant, what am I gaining by going to the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church to learn about them?
The denomination that is the closest to my current beliefs are going to be the Baptist, and Presbyterian Denomination. But keep in mind I did most of my Bible studies in these denominations, I never really looked outside beyond these denominations, this year I am doing that now. For all I know

The First Resurrection
I was brought up Charles Stanley type Baptist and Pentecostal Holiness. They both believed in a rapture. Whatever you may call it... I will take the first resurrection thank you! Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. - Revelation 2:6

Insomniac’s safe house
What do you do when you can’t sleep? Is there something you take that helps you sleep? Do you just go without sleep? Are hugs good for Christians?
I thought this essay was excellent. I wish I could give attribution. If anyone recognizes it, please do so. It is a funny thing the way other folks look at things. All my life I’ve hugged my children, spouse and friends. And always felt good about it. And after some thought about
A Baptist with a very wise observation
“The liberty I contend for, is more than toleration,” Leland would later write. “The very idea of toleration, is despicable; it supposes that some have a pre-eminence above the rest, to grant indulgence; whereas, all should be equally free, Jews, Turks, Pagans and Christians.” John Leland , Itinerant Baptist preacher during the American Revolution.
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated
Peace in Christ. “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.” The Potter has made of the same lump (the lump of Christian people) one vessel unto dishonor and another unto honor. Rom 9:21-23 (21) Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one

Activist Involved in ‘Noah’s Ark’ Search Vows to Rewrite Evolution Narrative
I’ve been trying to avoid posting this story, but now it’s made it to Newsweek. This will go as all the other Noah’s Ark stories go: a lot of hype and bold claims, followed by nothing but a few tantalizing hints and a tease for future endeavors (and fundraising). Activist Involved in ’Noah’s

Reconstructing the Dividing Wall
I think there is a tragic irony in religious history: something God intended as a gift can eventually become a weapon people use against one another. Take the Sabbath, for example. At its best, Sabbath keeping is about trust. It is about stopping our striving, laying aside our work, and
