Cranking but no start
Beyond stumped, I have a 1995 tacoma 2.7l 3rz (distributor). Motor ran before I pulled it and got it rebuilt. Finally got around putting the motor back in, buttoned everything up, cranks but can't get it to fire. No spark, no CEL when ignition is on, OBD scanner able to communicate with ECU. Checked out -Related fuses/EFI relay -Circuit opening relay -Grounds seem ok -Voltage to ECU, igniter, distributor -Warrantied the distributor with a new one because I thought that was the cause of no... No second gen models?
Anyone else think it’s weird there are no models/toys of the second gen tacoma? I feel like we as a Tacoma world community need to put a vote to that somewhere like on the Mattel site. Such a beloved and some would argue favorite out of all the generations so far. Like how old does it have to get to become cool enough to be put into production from them? Because it’s definitely not getting any newer.
(Help) Warm start stalling
Hi all, I have a 02 Tacoma supercharged with 7th injector. 201k miles. Recently my truck has had a hard time starting up and is now stalling after I turn the key. Blipping the throttle when starting keeps it alive. I noticed my heater hose is cracked and leaking. Could that be the reason? Please help with thoughts. I have tested the 7th injector and it isn’t the problem. cheers

Oil Film Coating in Engine Bay, High Pressure Leak?
Did my 3rd oil change at 9845k and noticed the whole engine bay had a oily film all over it. The engine oil was still full but something has coated the engine bay and the dust is sticking everywhere! Made an appointment with Toyota and today was my appointment. I was introduced to the 'master' mechanic who would be looking at it. The very 1st thing he said and pointed to were the hood struts (Redline tuning). He said "what are these" suggesting this aftermarket part I installed could be a... Wiper blade jitter / vibration
I know this is an old and tired topic but I bought a 2023 certified trd or that came with stock wiper blades on it . The blades were never perfectly smooth , they always had a vibration /jitter on the down motion . I bought some rainx blades and had our first rain and these blades where more jittery than the oem ones . I clay barred the glass and wiped the blades . I gently gave them a tweak as recommended to get the angle correct to no avail . I am going to buy some oem ones asap . Has... Wiper blade jitter / vibration
Trouble With New Tires
My truck has a small lift and tires installed by Toytec when I used to live in Denver. That was 5 years ago and I've run Toyo AT3's since that day with ZERO issue. A couple of weeks ago i had Discount Tires install a new set of Toyo MT's in a 285/55/16. Now the truck suddenly pulls to the right. They tried to align but would only go to factory specs...useless. So I go to recommended 4wd shop. Front end gets a full inspection and the truck is solid. They aligned it, still pulls to the... Trouble With New Tires
Throttle position (Brake Override Malfunction)
Dealing with this dreaded problem. Couple weeks ago got this message + check engine light while driving through my neighborhood. Scanned the truck and it came back P2119. Took the throttle body off and sure enough it was in need of a cleaning. Cleared the code, put everything back together, and has been great for 2 weeks. Same thing happened today. Brake override malfunction + check engine light. Codes this time are P2119, P0120, and P2135. Was able to get the truck home. Visually checked... Throttle position (Brake Override Malfunction)

Squeaking sound coming from suspension over small bumps
Over the past month or so I’ve begun hearing squeaking noises anytime I drive over small bumps or even road imperfections or cracks at low speeds. I don’t really hear it at high speeds or large bumps, but maybe because the road noise drowns it out. It sounds like rubbing a finger on a foggy mirror type of squeal. Not a grinding, moaning, or cranking sound. And it’s not associated with turning, only straight driving. I’ve tried replicating it by pushing up and down on the truck while parked...

knock knock, it’s your wallet speaking! I’m about to be significantly lighter! Well she’s toast, was driving the rig home from Utah for fall break, and 10 miles out from the house (1100 miles into the road trip) she started rod knocking, and then locked up almost as I got home, at least it held out so I didn’t have to get a tow. No idea why it failed, truck has oil and and all fluids are at okay levels and was not overheating. Truck has had oil changed every 3k miles since I’ve owned it,... Alternator chargers/Inverters mounted in bed: show me your cable routing
I'm looking to run a heavier gauge cable to my truck bed for a canopy mounted alternator charger, hoping to see what the setup of others looks like, where they've routed their cables and how they've secured them. So far I'm thinking of some sort of cable gland in the general vicinity of the front tie down hooks.
Looking to trade bucket seats for a bench seat
Hi, I've got a pair of good condition moon mist buckets that I'd like to trade for a moon mist bench if possible, I'll potentially take other colors but moon mist is preferred. Drivers side bucket has one rip that is currently patched. however foam is in good condition and the seats have minimal staining. Can provide photos if interested.

Volk racing TE 37 on my tacoma
I'm going to put this bad boy Te37 Volk Racing on my tacoma, it's an 18 inch gun metal next week. I want to know where can I get a decent center cap to match my truck? Volk Racing they don't make a center cap for large pcd any suggestions? thanks guys appreciate it .

Easier way to replace coolant bypass
Has anyone found an easier way to replace the coolant bypass pipe on a 3rd gen tacoma? One guy claimed he removed his hood, then crawled onto his truck and removed the intake and did it. Does anyone know if that is even possible?

Do people really pay almost 30K for 4+ year old trucks? I find it wild that most of 3rd gens are selling for 30K-40K There is 2022 SR5 with 100 000 miles labeled as 28K, that is crazy. Do people actually pay that much money?

Hello, I have a 2006 Prerunner and the brake pads will need to be replaced in the near future. Do I need to replace the rotors or can I resurface them? There might not be a way to do this but also how do I tell if it is time to replace them or if they are still good while I am in there? Thanks in advance
