ZXMoto’s Plans: A Big New Boxer Engine, And Beyond

We live in a quickly-changing world, even in the ultra-conservative domain of the motorcycle, where tradition was traditionally held sacrosanct (if we may be so cheeky as to use the the word tradition twice in a sentence. Make that thrice). No company shows this more clearly than ZXMoto, which has overnight become a Brand To Watch. This was driven home by their presentation at China’s CIMA show a few days ago.

Custom Build, Public Road: What Happens to Your Claim When a Modified Motorcycle Goes Down

Every builder knows the moment. The tank is painted, the rear-sets are dialed in, the clip-ons sit exactly where your wrists want them, and the bike finally rolls out of the garage onto a real road with real traffic. What very few builders think about in that moment is what happens if a driver turns left across that road without looking. A crash on a custom motorcycle is not handled the same way as a crash on a stock one,

Macapá: Is Brazil’s Equator City Worth It? - EP.477

Riding into Macapá right on the equator in northern Brazil turned out to be an unforgettable stop. From standing on the equator line to meeting some of the warmest, most welcoming people along the way, this place completely blew me away. And then there was the food. 2027 Aprilia Tuareg 660 2000 Mile Ownership Review

I have spent a lot of time on borrowed Aprilia Tuareg 660 motorcycles in the past, but I've never actually owned one until now. I've been riding and camping off of my 2027 Aprilia Tuareg 660 for a few months now and over 2000 miles now and I feel like I have a pretty solid grasp on what it means to own and ride this mid-size ADV bike. The 4 or 5 dumbest things I’ve ever done on an adventure bike….stuff I’d normally never even attempt on anything bigger than a dual sport…have all been done on this Tuareg 660. Example: there was this bowl filled with hill climbs that I found on our Dork tour and I just headed down the nearest hill without even thinking or looking at the exit options confident that the Tuareg would get me out. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I DO. I’m an anxious human and an incredibly anxious rider. I do not dive into things like that without a clear exit strategy…at least not on bigger bikes. Maybe on the DRZ where I know if I get stuck I can manhandle the bike around…but not on anything over 400 pounds. I just jive so well with the Tuareg and I’m so confident on it that I somehow…forget to be anxious? It’s hard to explain, but this bike is SO confidence inspiring that I am certain I can get through the hard stuff and then I do..mostly because I was so confident in the first place. I ride it like I ride a dual sport…and that’s normally a VERY defined line. This Aprilia adventure motorcycle has annoying champagne problems and dealer support is a real question mark…but if you lined up every ADV bike on the market right now and told me to pick one to go on a ride with uncertain terrain, I 100% no shit would run directly to the tuareg 660. Lots of other bikes do a lot of things very well…but nothing I’ve ridden does everything I want to do as effortlessly as the Tuareg 660.
