    [Rant] Lousy distributor

Annoyed at SHOEI distributor in SEA for changing this X15 helmet design from Estrella Galicia to this. Really stupid rule. I don’t feel the need to chug beer when I see the Estrella logo; the same way I don’t feel the need for a puff when seeing old tobacco logo on F1 cars. Now my only options are to pay extra to ship from overseas (many OOS) or to holiday in Japan and buy there. Anyone else have other idea? Stupid stupid stupid rule. Rant over. submitted by /u/899panigale [link] [comments]

  • Bike just to trail hop?

I’m looking into dual sport bikes. I’m interested in using it as a dirtbike 99.9% of the time. However in California some good trails are separated by roads that require street legal bikes. So I’d need something that has a plate just to ride like half a mile or so down a road to the next trail. What bike do you guys think matches this situation? I wouldn’t need something with high top speed or good road comfort/stability, basically just a license plate.

Friend lost her husband because he didn’t want his helmet to block his peripheral vision

I just learned from my best friend from high school that her husband died in a motorcycle accident. I'm sad and shocked and frustrated and mad she said " at least he can be an organ donor. He had almost no damage to his body at all, but the brain damage was too significant that they couldn't save him even after extensive brain surgery" I asked if he had been wearing a helmet. The state they're in it is not the law and she said " no, I don't know any motorcyclists who wear helmets.

I thought some of you might like my 1986 Yamaha Fazer Build

I've always thought the OG Fazer and Vmax were two of the coolest bikes ever produced, so I wanted to turn the Fazer into something more modern and aggressive. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it running right. Not sure if it's the carbs, head gasket, or worse. Regardless, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and wanted to share. submitted by /u/FizzyLaenore42 [link] [comments]

Is there a motorcycle helmet brand that's generally considered the best budget brand?

Long story short I'm starting to look into getting a motorcycle helmet for my e-bike. Doing more street riding at higher speeds than I'm capable of on a regular bike. So I've been looking into motorcycle helmets and am being overwhelmed with choice. submitted by /u/psycospaz [link] [comments]

Can a Motorcycle Be the Perfect Companion for the Lonely?

by DanF9 It's a common cliché: the lone rider traveling from one highway to the next, searching for something society cannot provide. Thank the film Easy Rider for that, I guess. What I want to discuss is whether a motorcycle can somehow aid in providing meaning to loneliness. After all, it's just an object, a kind of tool that gets you from one place to another. But as we all know, it's not just that. I think everyone feels lonely at some point in their lives. Some move in and out of it; others exist with it their entire lives.

  • Xr650l tires?

I just bought a 93 xr650l and it’s starting to need a new front tire. The only off-roading I’ve done was a klr650 on e705s. I was wondering how much of an upgrade Shinto 244 or kenda k270s are. I have a street bike so I’m not concerned about road grip all the much. I’m only really worried about lifespan and offroad grip. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/Odd_Western_7384 [link] [comments]
