$225 American Made Shotgun U Can Trust: Maverick 88 Security
TNP Donors keep the lights on and, put some dollars in my pocket, and keep the ammo stocked. Please consider jumping in long term. I’m so dumb with how I run it, I don’t even have tier levels… you can join for just $1 per creation. It’s the paying members who keep the show alive. TNP Patreon is where the action is, I post about 3 videos there a week, you only see a fraction of my creations here:https://www.patreon.com/Nutnfancy This might be considered the poor step child to the famous Mossberg 590 and 500 tactical shotgun lines. But is it? A long term donor asked if I could buy one and test it. So I did. It's always a temptation to judge something soley on price. I have counseled against this in my many reviews here. This Maverick 88 is kind of like that. I say "kind of" because in some ways, discussed here, it is a bit rough around the edges. But what's important? This is: materials used, durability, function, firepower, and reliability. You'll see the 88 ticks off those boxes and you'll see that again Mossberg delivers an amazing value to the tactical shotgun market in some intriguing flavors. 2026 UPDATE: Beretta APX A1 Full Size Tactical
Improvements have been made to the APX. I secure this one in full Tactical kit with longer threaded barrel, high suppressor sights, xlnt FDE coloration, and larger cap mags. I discuss and show shooting and refer back to my original 2017 review on the type. It is still a favored pistol in TNP, HOF worthy, albeit a bit heavy in the arena of poly 9s. Some xlnt non-Glock competitors make a showing and they are equally beloved by me. Another fun combat pistol review made possible by donors to TNP.
