Solar system provides the correct voltage, and the MPPT detects the solar input, but it does not charge the battery
My problem: The integrated charge controller does not charge the battery, even though it detects that solar panels are connected. My setup: Solar panels: - 2 × 100 W solar panels connected in series - Voc: 22.58 V - Vmp: 19.34 V Inverter / all-in-one unit: - Active SSI 10 (older model) - 550 W / 70 V - Integrated MPPT solar charge controller Battery (brand new): - 200 Ah, 12 V LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) Measured voltage at the solar charge controller:
DC to DC charging
I have a van converted for camping while fishing that runs off roughly 15kw of 12v lithium with solar charging. My question is what is the most efficient or best way to recharge a 12v trolling motor battery that I have used throughout the day? Meaning I can’t use the solar to recharge it overnight for fishing the next day. Feels like using the inverter to run a 120v charger to do it insane. Both the house bank and trolling battery are LiPo4 12v Thanks submitted by /u/Agreeable_Button7385 [link] [comments]
Severe Grid Overvoltage (270V+) on 5.85 kW On-Grid Solar in AP, India (APCPDCL) – Service wire upgrade vs. Discom transformer tap setting?
I installed a 5.85 kWp rooftop system (10 × 585 W panels, Deye 5 kW single-phase on-grid inverter) under PM Surya Ghar in September. Single-phase supply, net metering with APCPDCL, in a village in Parchur mandal, AP, India. The problem: at midday the voltage at my inverter goes very high when it exports at full power. 4.8 kW / 16.9 A export → 277.6 V 4.98 kW / 17.9 A export → 270.8 V About 2 V rise for every amp exported Street voltage itself seems to drift from about 235 V to 246 V between 11 AM and 1 PM
Growatt SPM 6000TL-HU – app/manual mismatch, commissioning currently broken
I recently installed a Growatt SPM 6000TL-HU with a Growatt HOPE battery. The inverter itself works fine locally: charging, backup mode and BMS communication are all OK. The problem is the software/commissioning. My supplied manual says the SPM can be commissioned through internal Bluetooth using ShineTools, then connected to Wi-Fi. In the current ShineTools 3.6.7.0, SPM 6000TL-HU is not even available in the Direct WiFi/Bluetooth device list.
