Omlet Auto Door for Chicken Coop
The signal strength of 70+% indicates the control panel is able to connect to your wifi network, but the fact they’re still showing as offline suggests something is preventing them from connecting from there to our servers. It would be worth double checking that there’s no firewall rules, parental controls, or other types of security on the network preventing the control panels from connecting to us. If you’re using a wifi extender, also worth verifying it’s not lost its uplink connection to the

Thread device lost after update and duplicated after re-pairing
I bought a thread smart plug (Onvis T20) and wanted to connect it to my new thread network on the ZBT-2. It took some time to understand what to do, but it finally worked. Then I upgraded the OS (home assistant OS) and the device was gone, no way to recover it. I paired it again and now I have two of them, of which one is not functional of course. Should I delete the device and add it as completely new, to have a clean situation? And, most importantly, will this break when I upgrade the system next month or so?
Orisec Alarm Integration
I’ve had a quick try. Previously I was looking at the cloud API, not the local API. I have a CP20, but cannot seem to get a response from the panel. Port 20202 is configured. Do I need to do anything to enable the local API?

Overview Dashboard, but “Plus” -> Overview Plus
Hi, @all! I wanted to show you a dashboard strategy Claude put up for me. The idea is: I really like the new default Overview dashboard strategy. But there are circumstances, where I would want a bit more flexibility. Hence: “Overview Plus” Examples, where “Overview Plus” is helping: You can define your own Area Sections for your Area views. (I use this for my virtual areas: Proxmox-Cluster, TrueNAS, etc. where I collect specific devices and entities for these “Areas” which I get through various integrations)
Prepaid electricity meter: units left, one low warning per token, recharges (kWh, any municipality)
A prepaid meter’s units counted down from the grid import your inverter or energy meter already measures. Made for South African prepaid meters, but it counts kWh, not money, so it works whatever the tariff or supplier. Units left in a Number helper you can put on any dashboard. One warning when they run low, and again only after the next token. A recharge is simply setting the helper to the meter’s reading after loading a token; a message confirms it. Why it is built this way: It works
Grid outage or load shedding: one message, loads off and back on, and a check that they really came back
For a home with a solar inverter and a battery. I live in South Africa, where load shedding made me want this done properly, but it works for any outage and any inverter integration that gives a grid voltage. When the grid goes: one message per outage (“The grid went off at 18:02 (0 V). Battery 64%. Switched off: Geyser, Pool pump.”) optionally the heavy loads switched off to save the battery, always or only below a battery level When it comes back: one message with how long it was gone
IKEA Myggbett Door/Window Sensor Modifying
I did originally modify with the hall sensor in place but as you can see by previous replies it resulted in rapid battery drain. I damaged the sensor doing some more testing so my board no longer has the hall attached. Next steps: Identify a power source that remains at 2.194v regardless of switching state and test with a pull up resistor. The test pad test I tried didn’t work but didn’t manage to confirm if the the test pad maintains power at all times.
Samsung Washer Card
Hi all, I wanted a nicer way to see what my Samsung washer-dryer is doing than a row of sensors, so I made a Lovelace card that shows the machine itself in 3D and animates it with the real state. What it does A live three.js model of the machine: laundry tumbles in sloshing water while it washes, the drum ramps up and the cabinet shakes during the spin, the inside glows warm with steam while it dries, and the door opens when the cycle is done (if you have a door sensor) Each phase gets

New Health Score for Home Assistant: HAGHS v2.2 is out!
I’m thrilled to announce that HAGHS v2.2 is officially live! A massive amount of architectural work went into this release, and I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone in the community who shared their ideas and feedback. You guys are awesome. Here are the biggest changes you will care about: Zero-YAML & Auto-Detection: HAGHS now automatically detects your SQLite database size and disk space. Linux PSI Integration: We now read Pressure Stall Information directly from the Linux kernel
Zigbee Garden Irrigation Dashboard with Standard Home Assistant Features (Docker) – SONOFF SWV-ZFE, Six Schedules & Safety Automations
Hi everyone! I’d like to share my Zigbee garden irrigation dashboard for Home Assistant Container running in Docker, using the ZHA integration and a SONOFF SWV-ZFE Zigbee water valve. The dashboard uses native Home Assistant cards — no HACS frontend components or custom Lovelace cards are required. It provides six independently configurable daily watering schedules, manual controls, device status information and basic safety automations. I’ve included the dashboard YAML, all helper definition
Bigger icons on dashboard header
I use a dashboard on a tablet, but the the icons in the header are too small. Can I change the size of these icons ? I mean the car lightbulb and climate icons
Tapo-monitor — Tapo alerts where the photo actually shows the person, with Home Assistant over MQTT
Hi all Tapo cameras love sending motion detected with a photo of an empty driveway — the person already walked out of frame. tapo-monitor (MIT, Python) fixes that: Empty live frame? It pulls frames from the camera’s own SD-card recording around the event’s timestamps and sends the one the person is actually in. False alarms (cars, branches, pets) are filtered by a small local YOLOX scorer on your LAN. Nothing leaves the network. Home Assistant: opt-in MQTT discovery — each camera shows up

Hey @abrum, im glad you have found the attributes yourself. you can find more information in the readme on github. how is your score right now? did it improve from the intial 85?

HELP: Massive disk space usage by applications
For the past two days, my backup has grown to a massive size—tens of gigabytes—and the database isn’t the cause. When I check the disk space usage for the backup, it shows 90 GB under “App data,” even though I haven’t installed anything large. The only tool I added was “Spook” (by Franck), but I’ve since removed it, thinking it might have been the source of the problem. I’ve already tried running from terminal docker image prune, but it didn’t change anything. Now, Home Assistant keeps freez

OPNsense Presence Detection Stopped Working
Two days ago I updated the hass-opnsense integration to v1.2.1 and, on the same day (bad idea, I know!) updated my OPNsense router to v26.7.7 Something in one of those updates has caused device tracking and, by extension, my presence detection setup to stop working. I track a specific subset of devices in the hass-opnsense integration (the mobile phones of my family members). This has worked well in the past, but since the updates all devices show permanently as At Home. Reloading the integra

HAGHS new beta release v2.4.0b1 - looking for testers
Hey there, HAGHS v2.4.0b1 is out as a pre-release, and I could use a few testers before it goes stable. What is in it: the application score now counts open repairs (5 points each, capped at 10, and the score is capped at 99 while any repair is open), every missing score point is explained through new attributes and two new flags, dead devices get their own list, recommendation texts are now translated, and entities without an entity-registry entry (YAML template sensors, Utility Meter and fri

Shelly TRV Gen1 2.2.4 – high battery drain / beacon-skip recovery – experimental firmware patch
Hi everyone, over the last few days I’ve been investigating the unusually high battery consumption of some Shelly TRV Gen1 (SHTRV-01) devices and noticed suspicious behavior in the current firmware 2.2.4. The firmware version investigated is: 20240619-130912/v2.2.4@ee290818 Initial problem On multiple physical TRVs running the original 2.2.4 firmware, I was able to reproduce the following sequence in the debug log approximately once per minute: Beacon skip error! Attempt recovery followed
