Vintage VS Modern Terre D'Hermes
I want to buy a bottle of terre dhermes edt and I found a listing for 30 bucks. I have heard multiple people saying the vintage bottles have a different formulation, better performance etc. I found a vintage bottle for only 20 more dollars then the new one. Do you think its worth the extra money, or no? Also if anyone has smelled both please let me know the differences between the OG and new bottles. By the way this isnt me breaking a rule of the sub and asking what to buy. I mainly want to know what the difference between the 2 are.
Bond No. 9 - Chinatown - Yuck!
I used to love Chinatown by Bond No. 9. I had a bottle of it 18 years ago and it was my favorite. I’ve been getting back into perfume and decided to purchase a sample. It is not at all how I remember. I Remember it being rich and warm. Fruity and spicy. Now it is like I’m getting hit up the head with gardenias. Not to mention it just smells cheap. submitted by /u/Effective_Trick_8665 [link] [comments]
Fragrance with no online presence?
TL;DR I bought a fragrance from TJMaxx, cannot find it anywhere online This is my first ever fragrance, I’ve been lurking around fragrance communities, and on a whim decided to buy some random 15$ fragrance at TJMaxx. I was mostly goaded by my friend to buy it, and I think I like it, but I wanted to see what people online thought of it. But I couldn’t find it anywhere, I checked fragrantica, basenotes, just straight up google search and I only found someone selling it on ebay.
Missing person by plur
I recently was going through all my scents in my collection and one of the perfumes I own is missing person by phlur. I absolutely love father figure, it’s one of my most worn scents, second to extra milk by dedcool. I absolutely adore close to the skin/skin scents. But I just want some opinions, because on my skin all my smell is cleaning product. Almost like swisher jet. In Sephora I immediately fell in love when I tried it on the tester. But on me the scent, it’s less skin like on me and I just smell like a cleaning product 😖.
Can these 4 cover every season and occasion? (Project pan woes)
I'm doing a project pan and trying to use up what I have before buying anything new. My current lineup: Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede D.S. & Durga Radio Bombay Maison Margiela Replica By the Fireplace My thinking so far: Peony for spring/daytime, Mimosa & Cardamom for warmer days, Radio Bombay as an everyday or office scent, and By the Fireplace for fall/winter evenings. Does this actually cover all seasons, day and night? If I decide to sell one or two, which would you let go?
PDM Sample Kit review
I recently bought a PDM Sample kit for men and including the 2 free samples i got: Castley Pegasus Oajan Althair Layton Percival Haltane Carlisle Althair Exclusive 9 samples, 1.5mL each for 40€ so a good deal id say. Now i already have a bottle of castley, i love it its one of my favourite fragrances and in this lineup, probably the best fresh scent you can wear daily. But i wanted to give my opinion on the other scents too. Percival - this is ass, smells like a cheap 20€ fragrance or like adidas shower gel.
Ralph's Club New York
As someone brand new to this, I recently came across (somewhat by chance) this fragrance as one of my first. Ever since, I have smelled various fragrances, though I have found that, in the end, I like this one a lot. As someone especially new to this, knowing that there are some small details of this fragrance that are not my favorite, I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this fragrance. Generally, I have found myself to enjoy polished, sweeter fragrances, and I am curious what other similar fragrances are out there.
What is your favorite fragrance from Etat Libre D'Orange brand?
What are your favorites from this brand? I need to pick 4 for the sample kit and have no idea where to start! My favourite fragrance in general so far is Le Labo Baie 19, but I want something new now that I'm running out, maybe something more feminine leaning but just as complex and maybe a bit unconvetional. Edit: well guys, I'm even more confused now. submitted by /u/myneighborscatismine [link] [comments]
Byredo Havana Wonka is heavenly but how likely do they put out smaller sizes?
Just discovered this scent yesterday in-store and it was amazing. I'm still smelling the scent card today and obsessing over it however its $465 for 70 mL.l which is quite a large bottle. Can anyone who's familiar with byredo and their collections, provide any information or if this will turn into a travel size or generally just something more reasonable? submitted by /u/loiwhat [link] [comments]
44 Samples, Now Results
Hi All, I'm new to this sub and the world of fragrances in general. I used this sub's recommendations to pick some samples to test and then I got bit by the bug. Flashforward after trying them all and wanted to share what I tried and what I ended up liking (and hating). I'm one for more interesting and unusual scents for the most part. I ended up falling in love with and buying bottles of Ganymede, Debaser, and High Desert. Anyway, thought y'all might find this interesting (or horrifying). https://imgur.com/a/UyX2NcI
