Learn how to set up Amazon Redshift Data Sharing between a producer and consumer cluster and use dbt Cloud to transform the shared data into analytics-ready models, with live, zero-copy access and no ETL between clusters.
OpenAI promised developers six months’ notice. GPT-4o users got three
OpenAI will shut off GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 API access in January. Moving to GPT-6 Luna changes tool calls, pricing for long prompts and fine-tuned models.
The Humans of OpenTelemetry - KubeCon Japan 2026
We’re back with our fifth edition of Humans of OpenTelemetry, and for the first time, from Japan! At KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Japan 2026 in Yokohama, I interviewed OpenTelemetry end users and practitioners from the Japanese cloud native community, and learned how they got involved with OTel: Yuzuru Ohira (LayerX) Mikata Chikahisa (Loglass) Yoshiki Fujikane (CyberAgent) Takashi Okamoto (NTT DATA) Kohei Sugimoto (MIXI) The interviews were conducted in Japanese, and the transcript below is an English translation.
Meta ships Muse Spark Open, its answer to China’s best open-weight models
Meta’s Muse Spark Open is an 816B open-weight model that beats US rivals and matches Chinese models on agentic tasks, but its license isn’t fully open.
Meta Ships Muse Wonder, Jev Raises $870M 24 Days After Launch, and Anthropic Cuts Haiku 90%: The Top Takeaways From This Week’s 20VC x SaaStr
Pro rata goes to Delaware, Nvidia circles Reflection, a record 42 decacorns, and why the B2B apocalypse never ended for anyone under $1B in ARR A nuclear startup took its earliest institutional backer to court over a spring-back clause. CloudHealth vs Cloudability (2026): Pricing, Pros and Cons
Key Takeaways Short answer: Both cover visibility, allocation, budgets, forecasting, anomaly detection, and commitment recommendations, but which clouds each feature covers differs by platform. Where CloudHealth stands out: It can bring vSphere data-center costs into the same view. Where Cloudability stands out: It manages commitments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud from one place, and Kubernetes cost allocation covers OCI too.
How Visko streams real-time world models on Google Cloud TPUs
Editor's note: Generative AI startups are moving rapidly beyond static clip generation to build interactive, real-time worlds. In this technical deep dive, we explore how AI startup Visko collaborated with Google Cloud TPU engineers to deploy Orbis — its continuously streaming Live World Model—on Cloud TPUs, going from initial kickoff to production handover in just 30 days.
Temporal Serverless Workers on Cloud Run: Scale workers ahead of demand
The open-source Temporal execution platform is rapidly becoming a foundational layer of modern software infrastructure — especially for orchestration in distributed systems and AI agent workloads. However, deploying and scaling workers in Temporal comes with unique challenges. Workers poll for tasks instead of serving requests, so request-driven serverless platforms can be an awkward fit. This often results in running worker fleets on Kubernetes or VMs, which you have to manage and pay for continuously.
Borderless lakehouse integrates with Gemini | Google Cloud Blog
As enterprises shift their AI usage from experimental chatbots to autonomous agents, teams are hitting a critical bottleneck: accessing and reasoning over data scattered across multiple clouds, SaaS platforms, and on-premises systems. To turn AI agents into true systems of action, organizations need a foundation that can handle petabyte-scale reasoning without the security risks of data movement. Last week at our Gemini at Work event, we announced how Gemini can help you transform business workflows.
What the Gemini agent means for startups
Small teams, short runway, and constant pressure to ship faster — it’s the reality we see every day among the founders we work with at Google for Startups. When you are building a company from the ground up, every hour spent on operational overhead or infrastructure plumbing is an hour taken away from your core product.
Nvidia squeezed a 74B agent model into 24GB so it can run on your laptop
Nemotron 3.5 Bolt uses 2-bit quantization to fit a 74B mixture-of-experts model in 24GB, and Nvidia says it still beats Qwen and Gemma on agent benchmarks.
Modernizing perimeter security: Scalable perimeters with VPC Service Controls
Agents represent a fundamental shift in cloud operations. They can act on behalf of users or autonomously, make non-deterministic decisions, and request data across projects at unprecedented speed and scale. Because agents are a distinct category of non-human identity (NHI), they require unique secure-by-default guardrails.

Anthropic’s been eyeing confidential AI. It just made its move with another acquihire
The deal brings Opaque Systems’ expertise to Anthropic, but leaves questions about its open-source projects.
“Everybody with a $20 account is now a researcher”: How Akrites is tackling the flood of AI bug reports
AI-generated findings are improving, but “vibe researching” still swamps maintainers. Akrites is enlisting engineers to separate real threats from noise.
Anthropic built its own git replacement for AI-scale coding. But you can’t have it
Claude helped Anthropic outgrow its Git infrastructure — and build the replacement. But the company says Scion is too specialized to release for other teams.
5 Interesting Learnings from Bending Spoons at $2.8 Billion in Revenue: 126% Growth, 3% Organic Growth, and $1.08 Billion of ARR Bought in 37 Days
Bending Spoons is worth about $34 billion. It buys B2B companies at 2.3x to 2.7x ARR. Since August it has paid 2.7x ARR for Airtable and 2.3x for Miro. That is $1.08 billion of ARR for $2.64 billion of enterprise value, signed 37 days apart. Its own stock trades at roughly 8x to 10x revenue with both deals included. A dollar of Airtable’s revenue is worth about four times as much inside Bending Spoons as it was to Airtable’s own shareholders.
