What do you check first before choosing an e-bike conversion kit?
I’ve been looking at different e-bike conversion setups lately, and the more I read, the more it seems like choosing a kit based mainly on motor wattage is probably the wrong way to go about it. At first it’s easy to look at 500W, 750W, 1000W, etc. and assume that’s the main decision. But after

Breaking rear spokes on gun drive
So I'm on my second e bike first was an aventon level 2 and now a lectric. Both rear hub bikes and breaking rear spokes has continued to be an issue. This seems like an engineering flaw. Anyone else experiencing this ? And now no bike shop in my city will touch it. Thanks for any feedback.
Using a radio with a headset to talk to kids when it's noisy while riding?
I've got an Urban Arrow Family Next, and my kid loves being able to ride in it. However, there are times ( especially when the rain cover or the converted sun cover* are on ) where it's really hard to hear my 3-year old when she's trying to talk to me. It doesn't help that parts of our route home means we're cycling over a noisy bridge where it's impossible to hear my kid even when there's no rain or sun cover on the bike 😅. This was still a problem back when I had a Lectric Xpedition where my kid rode right behind me in a bike seat, too.

This $1,100 E-Bike Is Better Than It Has Any Right to Be - Lectric XPress Lite Review
👉 Check current pricing: https://ebrdeals.com/lectric-xpress-lite 👉 Full written review: https://electricbikereport.com/lectric-xpress-lite-review/ The Express Light takes a simple approach to e-bikes: keep the weight down, keep the price affordable, and give riders plenty of control over how much work they want to do. In this review, we test its speed, torque and cadence sensing modes, range, hill climbing, braking, handling, and overall ride quality. At around $1,100 and roughly 54 lb, the Express Light is noticeably lighter and more affordable than many full-size e-bikes. Its 500W motor can be configured for Class 2 or Class 3 riding, while torque and cadence modes let you choose between a natural, exercise-focused feel or a much more relaxed ride. We recorded 42.2 miles in Eco and 22.4 miles in Turbo, and the bike performed well in both our hill and brake tests. Overall, the Express Light delivers a strong combination of affordability, manageable weight, simplicity, and versatility for everyday riding. #ebike #electricbike #expresslight #budgetebike #lightweightebike #commuterebike #ebikereview #electricbikereport 00:00 - Intro 00:49 - Overview 05:12 - Speed Test 18:19 - Range Test 20:22 - Hill Test 27:11 - Brake Test 28:56 - Ride Quality 35:44 - Display 39:15 - Pros & Cons 40:37 - Conclusion
