New Walmart Promo Is the Safest Way to Buy Pokémon 30th Anniversary TCG On Release
It's been a few weeks since the initial release of the Pokémon30th anniversary Trading Card Game set, and fans are hungry to score a restock. While some were lucky enough to have Booster Box pre-orders at retailers like The Pokémon Center or Target, just as many — if not more — haven't managed to secure any products at all. Thanks to a new Walmart initiative that goes live on Wednesday evening, fans now have a great option for buying the 30th anniversary set without lining up outside a store or badgering poor retail employees.
Gloomhaven Conquests 2025 on Frosthaven
I just ordered the 4PQs together with the mercenary pack. I just noticed the back of the PQ cards and realized they are meant for Gloomhaven only. Silly me, because they are comming out at same time as merc pack i thought they were adaptable to all games. Anyway.. Any issue integrating them to Frosthaven? Other than when u shuffle and choose PQs u cant look at the back of the cards?
The Capsule Collector and the Azul Kids Played Codenames on Netflix for the Gunsen
by Steph Hodge [imageid=9848748 medium rep]▪️ Czech Games Edition (CGE) announced Codenames Party! An all-new way to play Codenames. Now on Netflix! You simply need your phone connected to the tv as a controller. If you have Netflix, you are ready to go! From the newsletter: Alongside the new Party Mode, CODENAMES Party includes: Classic Team Mode (2–10 players): The traditional CODENAMES experience, with teams competing to identify their agents based on one-word clues from their spymasters.
Music Note level 3 card choice (Music Note spoilers)
Thanks to decent prosperity and an experience windfall, I find myself leveling Music Note to level 3 while having played her only twice. At level 2 I clearly preferred Onward to Battle of Soothing Lullaby (Heal is too situational, and the bottom action looked complicated.) But for levels 3 to 6, I badly want both cards (well done, Gripeaway and Themris).
Gunsen: The Battle for Toshi Ranbo Game Review
As someone who finds the wanton violence, corruption, and who-cares-i-ttude that’s baked into American life truly repugnant, the sheer unadulterated fantasy of a fair contest or battle is intoxicating. An oasis in a desert. Game designers and publishers seem to agree—there are so many darn area control beat-em-ups. I’ve played so many, because, when they’re done well (the razor-sharp edge of Inis or the skull bludgeon-y Shogun) you get to have a rare experience—a test of will, bravery, and risk.
TEND Review
I remember in 2018 when Welcome To… was released, and it reignited the roll and write craze (even though it was a flip and write). We started seeing all kinds of “X and Write” games, some amazing, others… better left on the shelf. But while the deluge of roll and write games has slowed down […] Source
What are these tokens for?
I've got the box after our last game and I'm trying to organise all the parts better because setup is always hampered by finding bits Anyway, I realised I've never seen us use these. Google image implies the black ones are general objective markers for maps that might need them but the red ones weren't coming up at all. I can't see either in the manual anywhere too. Our Frosthaven Starting Party Painted!
Our starting party for Frosthaven! From left to right we have Lyra (Deathwalker), Bobby (Bannerspear), The All-Star (Drifter) and Mr Stabby + Mr Shooty (Geminate). I tried to stay close to the official reference art for the characters (included for comparison), and I think they came out okay on the whole. The base rims are coloured to match the colour of the characters' cards.

Designer diary: NASCARD
by Guillem Coll Nascard aims to capture the excitement and feel of big racing games, but condenses that experience into a deck of just 110 cards. The challenge, however, was precisely that: how could we represent a race—complete with overtaking, risk, car management, tires, and fuel—without a board, without miniatures, and using only cards? And, above all, how could we ensure that this wasn't just a simple abstraction, but truly conveyed the feeling of driving on the edge, deciding when to push and when to preserve the car?

Gudnak has a great name, and maybe that’ll be enough to overcome the gigantic obstacle that the genre of games that are trying to become lifestyles struggle with.
