GM Screen Time: The ABCs of Scheduling Success
Welcome to GM Screen Time, the series where we dive deep into my bag of Gamemastering tricks to find different strategies and tips I've used at my tables to promote a fun environment. In this installment, we discuss the dreaded topic that stops an unverified 90% of people from ever getting their games to the table at all: scheduling. Everybody wants to play games together. The problem is that between school, work, extracurricular activities, soup nights, vacations, and everything else, people are busy.
Colonist Question
So I started playing the 1 v 1 Colonist version just to try it out. When I was playing a game recently my opponent started accusing me of cheating. I had no idea how someone would cheat but anyway he was going on about reporting me. No idea that was a thing either but when I looked I did see you could report someone for cheating…how does that even work in a 1 v 1 game? All I’m doing is rolling and taking what’s given to me. What am I missing here? It was odd as it was really early in the game (score was 4-3 for me) so I am still confused.
I made The Overseer, a TI4 game flow assistant
Hey everyone! I made a small web tool to help keep track of a Twilight Imperium 4 game (specially abilities timings): Check it on https://ti4-overseer.com It supports base game, Prophecy of Kings, and Thunder’s Edge. You can select factions manually or paste a TTS/Milty map string to detect factions, expansions, and legendary planets. Features include: Faction abilities organized by component or faction Round timeline with relevant faction effects Legendary planets and relics, with owner assignment
Made a travel box for the new Catan card game – all 120 sleeved cards + the rulebook fit
The retail box for the 2026 Catan travel card game felt bigger than it needed to be, so I designed and printed this one. Every card fits sleeved, plus the rulebook, and the lid closes flat. The lid art is printed in 4 colours (red, yellow, green, grey). The last photo is how it comes off the printer: one flat piece that folds into the box. Fan-made, not official. I made it myself, and the file is free on MakerWorld if anyone with a 3D printer wants it: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3405122 submitted by /u/shobitm [link] [comments]

Designer Diary: Tanglung
by Mark William Howdy everyone. I am Mark William, former video editor, current data insights officer and the designer of Tanglung. This post is adapted from the blog series that I wrote on the game’s page. The Malay word tanglung [tahng-loong] is a direct loan from the Cantonese term for lanterns: 灯笼 [dang1 lung4], literally meaning ‘light’ and ‘basket’. Brought in to the Malay Archipelago by early Chinese Settlers, paper lanterns have been part of the Mid-Autumn Festival for centuries.
Courtroom: The Noir Trilogy Game Review
Czech Games Edition rolled the dice back in 2022 with the release of Deal with the Devil. It was the most shocking thing I played from a major publisher that year by a country mile. A strictly four-player-only, hidden role, app-driven board game from the people who gave us Codenames? It wasn’t just a departure…it was the biggest creative swing CGE has ever taken with a major release.
Last Bastion monument space Station stats?
we’re currently playing TI4 with the unofficial monument expansion, but the Thunder’s Edge factions aren’t in it. I’m Last Bastion, and I know their monument is a Space Station I put above a non-legendary single planet that deals two hits if taken by another player. I’m assuming this increases my commodities by one, but does anyone know what its card is? I can’t find any pictures online to tell me how many resources or influence it gives me if any. submitted by /u/MilkyBoyBlue [link] [comments]
Hacan and Nekro Interaction with Quantum Datahub Node also Imperial Arbiter
We have a 7 player game, including the Emirates of Hacan and Nekro Virus. Both of these players have Quantum Datahub Node. I am curious on the interaction of both players using Quantum Datahub Node which allows you to swap 1 of your strategy cards with another player at the end of the strategy phase.

Designer Diary: Dungeon Cube
by Nicolò Chioato Twenty Days, a Couch, and a Rubik's Cube It was the autumn of 2022, and I had just undergone surgery for two herniated discs in my back. My recovery came with some fairly strict instructions: I couldn't stay on my feet for too long, but more importantly, I couldn't sit down. That meant no board games, no computer, and not much television either. For about twenty days, I could essentially do only two things: walk or lie down. A tragedy. Fortunately, at the time I was learning how to solve a Rubik's Cube.

Le Chocolat Game Review
I adore this little game. Absolutely adore it. Le Chocolat, from designer Mashiu, is a quick two-player I Split-You Choose game that comes in a box smaller than most chocolate bars on the market. It has lived in my bag for months now. It’s perfect for when you need a quick gaming snack, a little shock to your blood sugar levels. From setup to teardown, it takes less than ten minutes, and most of those ten minutes feel like a high-wire act. All you can do is fall.
