    Rules Question about Direct Hit

I played a game this weekend as the Discordant Stars faction The Kortali Tribunal. One of their techs states "Once per space combat, after 1 of your non-fighter ships is destroyed, you may produce 1 hit and assign it to 1 of your opponent’s non-carrier ships." I used this ability to assign a hit to Yin's flagship after he destroyed my cruiser, then played direct hit to finish it off.

Mini Rogue: The Council (2026, Nuts! Publishing) is a dream come true for rogue-like video game fans like me. One step closer to a finished game

I’m pushing on to get this game ready for an open playtest. Models are sculpted and printed, cards are drawn and printable versions ready to go! I’m having so much fun with it, but feel I’m hitting a bit of a wall in design. How many times do you playtest before you finalise your playtest rules for others to try out? submitted by /u/to1v1 [link] [comments]

  • Hello, Old Friend

by Justin Bell Usually, I play games four days a week. Mondays, with my review crew; Wednesdays, with a group in Chicago I’ve known for years; Fridays with my wife; the occasional Saturdays with a group that gets together for a few hours in the afternoon. (I play games with the kids almost every day, so I’m not short on opportunities to chuck those dice.) Working through multiple plays of review copies occupies much of my week, but on Wednesdays I usually play games from the personal collections of both myself and others.

    A possible house rule?

I am curious to hear if others have considered a house rule for technology where all unit upgrades are achievable instead of researched. It would work independently of researching a new tech and wouldn’t be apart of the tech tree progression. Once you have the prerequisite research requirements implemented you would automatically receive your unit upgrades. This would drastically increase tech tree efficiency and make the game move a lot more in my opinion.

Trying to build an Online Catan type Game

Hi Guys, I am trying to build an online Catan type of game that I can play with friends. I think it is coming along pretty well and I would love to try to play with someone online to check if its working properly and any updates need to be made. If anyone is interested to help me test it, you can just ping me and we can set up a time to play/test the app. Please send me a message. Thank you. submitted by /u/AluThePotato [link] [comments]

Jisogi: Anime Studio Tycoon - Enjoying the Struggle

Not much to say other than Ive been enjoying playing the scenarios. Its not a hard set of rules, but really a gem overall especially when being tloving to the theme while also highlighting how rough the animation industry can be. The solo automata adds enough where you mostly focus on your own goals with some added challenge. The rea solol meat though is that each scenario has the setup and goals be your real challenges. Oh and the foil cards are *chef's kiss* submitted by /u/RelentlessRolento [link] [comments]

    Tax Fraud in Catan

I just watched my parents commit tax fraud in real time while playing Catan. They were both trading several cards, I think a 3:4 trade. However, my mom was scared that a 7 would be rolled next and she would lose half her cards. After some negotiation, my parents did the trade, and my mom gave all her extra cards to my dad. On her next turn, my dad gave back all her cards she gifted to him, all to avoid a potential 7.

Looking for a Gloomhaven Setting Guide

I was gifted the Gloomhaven 1st Edition box some time ago, and was eager to play it. However, I did not enjoy a tactical card game, and decided I would convert it into a setting for Pathfinder 2e (D&D stuff). However, I seem to be missing a setting guide, or it did not come with on. I have tried looking for one online, but have so far been unsuccessful. If there is a setting guide, fan made or official, I would be very thankful to be directed to it.
