Discussion on Game style options for three players on taken home system
Hello, Me and my good close friends play once a month, with pok c1-4 and now TE. We have found that our playstyles have some attrition and would love to have more input from outside: We were discussing how a player should react to their home system being taken from other players. The issue arises when a player which has their home system taken, stops playing to win and attacks to retaliate/punish/damage the player that attacked. The two point of views we have:

Catan-like game
imma just leave it here, if someone wants to play, its free, web, no login necessary, if someone thinks is pure AI Slop its fine, well yeah i used AI to do it, tried my best to not work/look-like it though, basegame + Cities & Knights available, made it for my personal portfolio, itd be a plus in my CV to say that i had some CCU, phone/desktop available non-affiliated in any mode with Catan GMBH submitted by /u/Routine-Leader4347 [link] [comments]
I’ve never actually shouted no before (vague city event spoiler)
I was about to complete one of those money related personal quests when we got a city event where we had to choose to pay some money or not pay some money. Another character was retiring and I had like 33 more than I needed so we chose to pay the money. Imagine my shock when I lost half my gold or 99 pieces to be exact I think that physically hurt. I was shocked. Seems I won’t be retiring for a while after all. Anyone ever lose more than that? submitted by /u/BoudreausBoudreau [link] [comments]
How do I find a graphic designer for my board game
I've been in the process of making a board game based off of a Monopoly 2026 comedy sketch I made in March. The video got over 50 million views, and people hit me up asking me to make it a real thing. I decided to go for it, and the mechanics are almost ready to go. I think it's time for a graphic designer to help me create the box, board, and all the pieces and cards. But I have zero clue where to look or how to get someone good. I'm a comedian in New York City and have zero drawing skills/ knowledge in the space.
Soooo Saar is the only faction that can produce ground forces and right after that distribute them in planets they control in the active system? (Argent agent as an exception here)
Also, how does that work for other factions? Are you only able to distribute ground forces that have been previously produced? Does that have to respect the ships capacity or I could transfer ground forces "one after another" between planets inside the same system? submitted by /u/candlelight_art [link] [comments]

How to combine SF scenarios 5-8 with C&K (discussion)
While SF + C&K is the simplest expansion combo, the rules mentioned in the C&K rulebook and online, aren't complete enough, as the available combo rules don't take into account the special rules the latter half of C&K have. To quote the website: "exploratory scenarios and all other scenarios featuring many smaller islands are unsuitable." The C&K rulebook even calls out Four Islands and Fog Islands as ones you should not pick.
Hot take: Root is not as complicated as people make it out to be
I was worried about buying this game due to how complicated everyone made it sound. But Ive loved the theme and artwork for a while, and asymmetrical games are right up my alley. For context, before I bought root, the most complex game on my shelf was ticket to ride. But I convinced myself it wasn't as bad as it seems. So I got a copy, watched a few videos, got 2 friends (both young, neither have played a game harder than catan) and played a game of root.

Custom Planet add-ons + player cards holder
I created the cards holder for the player, but then I realized that I have no way of storing the add-ons for planets.. So I came up with designing those small plastic thingies to attach to a card (without destoring it). Let me know what I could improve upon this design! The width of the player cards holder is exactly the same as a faction sheet. Printed on 0.2mm nozzle submitted by /u/Fit-Breakfast-2266 [link] [comments]

Lost Legacies Faction Showcase PT 1
For the better part of 2 years my friends and playtesters on the Tabletop Simulator and Async discord servers have been helping me to refine my personal homebrew. What started out as a project to make more synergistic components for franken led to a full fledged faction, action card and exploration homebrew expansion with over 18 factions. The content is still far from complete but I was hoping to do a couple days of showcasing each of the factions.

Pokémon TCG Drops For Its Hottest Set Are Constant Now, But There’s A Catch
Before the Pokémon 30th Anniversary collection took over the trading card game world, the hottest set on the market was undoubtedly Ascended Heroes. Finding Ascended Heroes cards has historically been much harder than sourcing other sets, 30th included, thanks to its age. The set is an old one, and recent Pokémon products typically make up the bulk of new distribution shipments. There are two notable exceptions to this trend lately, but Pokémon fans need memberships and patience to take advantage of it.

We're commissioning a TI4 (+TE+POK) score tracker from a guy that does woodworking. Any suggestions for additional features are highly appreciated!
Most of the actual tracking will work with magnets that will have 3D printed markers on them (see the top right for examples of such markers). The biggest challenge right now is making the public objectives readable at 1 table's length distance. We've thought of coloured markers to make a kind of "colour language" that indicates "control/have/own/spend" through symbolic/coloured markers, but that's beyond my expertise submitted by /u/Impressive_Wheel_106 [link] [comments]
Is Growth Good?
I’ll never forget a brief conversation I had with a friend in the game industry around 10 years ago. We were talking about a publisher with 20 employees, and they were looking to hire more people. I asked my friend, “Is having more employees inherently better?” His answer–a resounding YES–was memorable because (a) it wasn’t
