Four. Hundred. Technic. Sets
Yes. I know its a mess. I can't keep up with taking them apart to store them nicely. I can already see the "hoarder" accusations, although I don't plan on selling them. I wanna collect every Technic set ever, with box and instructions. Sadly missing some boxes from a few 2010-2020 sets. Only 19 tho. So 95,27% with boxes. All my vintage sets with every box inlay and blister. That isn't easy to accomplish. All sets are inventory checked. No yellowed parts. No broken parts. No destroyed 9V cables. Now I am ⅔ the way there.
About to start a handy project
badum tssss... It's a life-sized, (not yet) working robot hand! I recently got these super thin flex thingies which were begging to be used as tendons in a mechanical hand. Getting the full movement of each finger and the wrist will be a great challenge! Each of the fingers will be operated with pneumatics, maybe the wrist movement too i'm not sure yet. I'm also trying to stay true to where the muscles are located, how do you put it, like in a real human's forearm and hand. submitted by /u/YoHasLEGO [link] [comments]
Are you satisfied when "downgrading" sets?
I recently built 42177 Mercedes Benz G 500 as my first technic set. Thoroughly enjoined it. Looking at picking up future technic sets and I'm wondering if those who have built the larger technic sets still find enjoyment in smaller and simpler sets or do you stick to larger more complex sets? submitted by /u/CaadPaintChip [link] [comments]
McLaren P1 parts
I've had this model for a couple of years now and I really love it. I've lost count of the number of times that I've rebuilt it. Problem is that the gold paint Completely rubbed off. I've replaced them with silver but it's just not the same. Obviously. I heard that you can get free replacement pieces but I'm struggling to navigate the Lego website. submitted by /u/1RabidFish [link] [comments]
Week 66 Mercedes eCitaro G Fuel Cell : small real life update and digital update and additions
Hello everyone, Posting a bit earlier than usual since next week is gonna be busy for me and I want to sleep earlier. To put it simply, I once again decided to take the real life model and my pieces and see what I could build. So I was able to test how some areas are made and fix what didn't work in real life as well as reinforce some areas. After that i updated the digital model with the new changes and added some bars. The screens and rest or my order are still in transit. No news of them yet.
You've heard of the X-treme Off-Roader, but have you heard of the Super-X-treme 6x6 Off-Roader with RWD-steering?
Two 42099 sets and about 1400 pcs used, 5 pounds and 21 inches in length. In total two technics hubs, 3 XL motors, 2 L motors. Everything controlled via BrickController2 and a Nintendo Pro controller, works extremely well. A very good crawler with lots of torque, it can go up and down sofas with little effort. Common 42099 mod performed where output gearing is switched around for more torque.
First-time LEGO buyer; is the Ferrari SF-24 worth purchasing?
Hey everyone! I’m considering getting the LEGO Technic Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car (42207) as my first-ever LEGO set. I’m specifically looking for something challenging and satisfying to build. I’m willing to splurge around ₹10,000, but I’m genuinely confused about whether this is a good first purchase. For those who’ve built it: Is the build actually challenging/fun? Is it worth the price? Would you recommend another LEGO set around this price for a first-time buyer?
The technic figures fit perfectly in 1:12 cars
What a shame they don't make them anymore. Anyone knows why? Andrew Woodman said in a 2016 interview: It’s an emotional attachment for many people, a lot of the younger kids want to imagine a figure or driver in their model. When they get older they imagine it’s them in the model, so the figure doesn’t play such an important role. But for us the figure became came quite restrictive in terms of model scale and model size.
