Help with gray banding
I have a bambu P1S which I've used with success on many projects. Using bamboo studio and a .4 nozzle. Elegoo pla+ and bambu pla white both gave same results. I'm trying to print this ghost with a black mouth and I'm getting this gray band. I already have the black to white purge set to 900. I've tried changing the outerband speed because chatgpt thought it might be cooking at a different speed. Purge to infill is off. Prime Tower is enabled. Any thoughts on how to get clean white? submitted by /u/billy102386 [link] [comments]
Struggling with TPU printing
Greetings everyone! I've got my first spool of (Elegoo) TPU 95A. I've been trying to print this air duster to test things out. At first I used Orca Slicer's default settings (with default Elegoo TPU 95A profile): 225°C nozzle; 50°C bed; 100% fans (My printer (Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro) also has some rear boost fans, so I turned them on as well during this first print); layer height 0.2mm; retraction 0.4mm; Z-hop 0.4mm on all surfaces; 2 walls; cross hatch 15% infill; default speeds.
Help! I cant stop printing cacti!
Last week, I got a secondhand A1 w/ AMS Lite. My prints are coming out with wee spikes on them. I suspect it is a mechanical issue because it seems to be in specific print areas, not random. Things I have tried: -Turn it off & back on -Confirm no physical obstruction to range of motion -Clean (x,y,z) -Loosen, move 3x, & tighten screws (x,y,z) -Lube (x,y,z) -Give nozzle a lil scrub with nylon brush -Cold pull -Time-lapse on/off -Video on/off -Flow calibration on/off -Adjust print speed -Adjust fan -Different filament
Strange blob chain issue on a print
Hey, I'm having a strange issue with blobs that chain together along an edge on a print. It's not normal stringing, so I don't believe it's moisture, but I could be wrong. See attached photo. The blob chain seems to start at the surface, and then subsequent layer lines attach a blob to the end of that blob chain. Very strange. Printer Model: Prusa Mini+ Slicer used: Prusa Slicer Filament material and brand: Prusament recycled PETG Nozzle temperature: 250C Bed temperature: 85C Layer height: 0.2mm
Please help me analyse my print
I am using an Ender 3 (slightly modded, mainly direct drive). Printing with silk pla from kingroon but this happens also with other pla or pla+. Temps around 190 degree. Speed was quite slow with 60 to 100 mm/s (or even lower on first layer). I am using prusa slicer and ultlimaker cura. My printer runs on klipper on a pi 4. I have some strange waves in my print and on movements over the print the nozzle touches the layer noticeably.
Sunlu PA-GF is driving me up the wall
Creality K2 Plus G10 rigid steel build plate 0.6 mm nozzle Flow Ratio - 0.882 Pressure Advance - 0.025 Temperature - 280C Bed Temp - 100C All Fans are off Heated chamber set to 60C Filament dried at 85C for 24+ hours Print Speeds First Layer - 30 mm/s All other layers - 50 mm/s Could this be a z offset or bed leveling issue? Some areas on the print have perfect smoosh, not so good smoosh and too much smoosh despite not changing anything mid print. submitted by /u/TooBoppity [link] [comments]

First layer over supports and wall under-extruded?
Hello there. I'm having this problem with some of my prints. The first layer on top of supports doesn't make a good contact with the walls and during printing, in some places, it looks like it's being blown up from bellow, it doesn't sag. Also, the wall lines(being placed on top of a support) are being pulled by the nozzle and don't form a nice corner and they also don't stick together and come apart. The other surfaces look good enough. What settings can I play with without affecting other parts of the print? Thanks
What is wrong with my ironing settings?
Prusa mk3s, orcaslicer with standard pla. There appears to be a raised lip on some of the corners. The one good tile was the first, and the half good to the upper left of it was the second. I keep my pla in a desicant dry box so moisture isn't the problem. I hear a click from the print head on each tile, but it isn't colliding with anything, likely the extruder. submitted by /u/Jammer_Hammer_Games [link] [comments]
Rough bottom print
Hey FMP community, I printed out a stand for my wife with the 2 color PLA Silk and had initially noticed the 1st layer was messed up (2nd pic). Then when it got to the top, it was all bad in that area. I thought it was a dirty plate, even after I cleaned it, and tried again, and it still came out with that weird messed up area on the 1st layer (3rd pic). So I printed an entire sheet on the print bed and noticed as I'm towards the glass side or vortex side, it is very rough., while the back of the printer it is a good smooth full contact print.
First long print and it failed at roughly 80%. Is this is classic case of wet filament or is it something else?
Thanks for all the help guys :) I'm currently at work so I won't really be able to respond. I'll give an update, but the problem evolved to a clogged nozzle :/ I suspect the people who said that the infill was the problem were right. But yeah I'll have to deal with the clog first Post from yesterday The right side looks weirdly spikey to me idk if that's your usual stringing or not. First layer seemed to be fine. Settings: Nozzle Temp: 240C Bed Temp: 70C Speed: -Outer Wall: 200mm/s -Inner wall: 300mm/s
Strange lines on big first surface layers
Hi, Whenever I print a big flat first layer, I tend to get the following lines inside the layer, where do they come from and how do I fix them? They don't happen on smaller surfaces. Printer: Prusa Core One+ Gen2 Slicer: Prusa Slicer Filament: sulu PLA+ Black Nozzle: 0.4mm Bed Temp: 55°C Print Temp: 210°C Print speed: 200mm/s for most of the moves Retraction settings: 45mm/s Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Expert-Bag-3010 [link] [comments]
