Lighting for portrait?
Hi! I’m looking for a brighter LED light for beauty videos and photography. I shoot 2m from a sheer curtain, but the light still feels quite dim and diffused. I currently use a NEEWER NL288 panel at 45° and a small NEEWER 176 as a key light. I’m considering the NEEWER 660 or Godox LP600Bi, but is there anything brighter for around $200 max? I’d prefer an LED panel that’s portable for mobile jobs, not a strobe. submitted by /u/Fabulous-Tie6590 [link] [comments]

Do you consciously think about the photos you take?
When you're out with your camera, what's going through your head? Do you actively look for interesting light, compositions, colors, moments, and imagine the shot before taking it? Or do you mostly react instinctively to things that catch your eye? I'm curious whether experienced photographers still consciously think about these things or if it eventually becomes second nature. submitted by /u/SheepherderPrior9302 [link] [comments]

Did I make the right choice with Canon R7?
Hiii! I just updated from 2000D to R7 and I am starting to see bad reviews about the camera and am stressing if I made the right choice. I do people and event photography mainly and for now I have the 18-150mm kit lens. Does anyone have any expirience with this camera, what lense should i buy to get better results that’s not insanelly expensive? submitted by /u/Laauraa_K [link] [comments]
First few months with 200 600
Decided to upgrade from 70-350 to 200-600, so far very happy, I seem to have a sharp copy, autofocus is incredible with it using a6700 and a7v, dont think ill use the 70 350 much anymore. While it was a capable lens, the sony 200 600 is definitely sharper and better autofocus.. obviously more range. Have only been shooting for little over a year now and I love coming here for tips & too see everyone's amazing pics, its motivating.. love this hobby! submitted by /u/Grat3fuI [link] [comments]
HT2773 - Twelve For Six
Here's a Thought… #2773 with Brooks Jensen Twelve For Six I continue to have all kinds of fun doing Seeing In SIXES projects. I've been doing them long enough now that I'm starting to see certain patterns emerge that help the process. For example, when I try to produce a Seeing In SIXES project I'd better have more than six candidates to choose from. I don't need a hundred, but the editing/selection process is so integral to the format that there have to be extras that help me clarify and intensify the theme.

Moin (German for hello), I need a new camera and want to switch away from Sony mainly for corporate political reasons, otherwise I would just get the A7s III as almost everyone recommends me that one. So. I'm a lighting designer and need the camera mainly to film my work. So, sitting in the back of the venue, pointed at the stage, fixed focus, low light conditions but quite some dynamic range and ofc movement. A second use will mainly be in zoos or on vacations, where I just want "better than iphone" pictures especially through enclosures.
