Camping with a dog—how do you organize the stuff that never fits?

Apparently my little boy thinks the space next to the battery is his. 😂 I’m figuring out storage for camping with him. Once the battery is in, the bowls, food, leash, and towels all need somewhere to go. I want his stuff easy to grab without having to unload half the camper. I’m torn between one removable bin and a few smaller door-mounted organizers. The bin seems easier to pack, but the organizers might make better use of the space. What’s worked for you—and what became annoying after a few trips?

Bus Buyers Have Overwhelmingly Chosen Battery-Electric

Zero-emission bus procurement has moved beyond the stage where battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell buses should be treated as two parallel technologies waiting for the market to decide between them. • Losing my mind with bad smells

I’m losing my goddamn mind. Been living in my van for several months now and there has been this horrible sometimes subtle and sometimes more obvious musty sweet nutty smell in a specific area of the van, but I cannot for the life of me track it down. Every time I try to localize where it’s coming from, the smell just goes away and all I can smell is what I’m actively smelling (cushions, trash bin, bathroom, etc.). I’m losing my mind, it makes me feel so horrible. I feel so hopeless about finding and eliminating it because I CANT FIND IT.

Solar PPA panels stopped working, company refuses to fix them

Inherited a solar PPA when we bought our house a few years ago. We were in year 11 of a 20 year lease. Worked great for the first year and a half. Usually electric bills were only about $20/mo. Got one for $100 during a particularly hot month. The PPA is $250/mo so not bad in a 2500sqft house. Then the bills started creeping up. After year 2 we got a reimbursement check because the panels underproduced by a decent amount. One month we got a $600 electric bill and we contacted the solar company and the electric company.

    Europe has a problem!

Europe urgently needs more renewable electricity, but grid connection bottlenecks are slowing progress. What if the solution isn't always building more power lines, but making better use of the ones we already have? A new Ember report suggests that Europe's existing hydroelectric plants could accommodate another 25 gigawatts of wind and solar by sharing grid connections. And from Portugal to Spain, this clever approach to renewable energy is already becoming a reality.
