Reckless things i did before I became a perfumeaholic and researched. incidents / story time loll, part one !
Note : ayeee let me know if you want a part two! Okay lets start !!! This is all before I learned I was a walking migraine and giving people headaches. I used to be heavy oversprayer cause I used to use body mists a lot and thought perfumes had semi potency but not extremely presented. Kinda shameful but I wanted strong projection didnt know i filled rooms. This is a list of shame and a formal apology to everyone's nose that had to suffer. (I wore these all on my pulse points in all seperate occasions)
Buying my first Kayali fragrances
I'm buying Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar and Lovefest Burning Cherry in the travel sizes. My question to you all is which travel size is functionally better? I love the cute mini bottle, especially since it is a spray, but if that somehow affects the sprayer or getting all the fragrance out, I don't want that. Do you have a preference? submitted by /u/sootsprite01 [link] [comments]
I’ve decided it’s time to declutter (first pick is my keeps second is what I’m selling)
Firstly I’m not here to sell anything unless you wanna go out of your way to DM me but it’s not the reason I’m posting, I’ve been hoarding these fragrances it feels like and they’re all dusty most haven’t been touched in a long time and I’ve decided enough is enough. I picked the ones I love and even if I think they smell good the ones that down don’t me away are going to be sold. I’m 20 years old and am trying to save up to buy a new car and I’ve realized how reckless and stupid I’ve been with my money getting into this hobby.
Prin x FortuneSoul Present Triviṣa: Three Poisons and One Awakening
The new Triviṣa collection, created by Thai perfumer Prin Lomros in collaboration with Chinese niche fragrance distributor FortuneSoul, premiered at Notes Shanghai 2026. It comprises four fragrances — Rāga, Moha, Dveṣa, and Prajñā — united by one of the central ideas of Buddhist philosophy: the concept of the three poisons of the mind. The name Triviṣa comes from the Sanskrit tri, meaning “three,... My small but growing collection 🌸🍦✨💐🌿🪵
Phlur Vanilla Skin travel size Phlur Father Figure 1.7 oz OUAI Melrose Place 1.7 oz Rare Beauty layering balm Floral Peony Blossom Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede 3.4 oz Kayali Vanilla 28 travel size Kayali Fleur Majesty Rose Royale travel size Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet 3.4 oz As you can see, I adore a grandma-adjacent (I say this with love) floral scent lol especially if it has a peony note. However, I do enjoy vanilla scents on occasion. Phlur Father Figure is the current outlier but I adore it. It’s very clean and perfect for work.
Vintage VS Modern Terre D'Hermes
I want to buy a bottle of terre dhermes edt and I found a listing for 30 bucks. I have heard multiple people saying the vintage bottles have a different formulation, better performance etc. I found a vintage bottle for only 20 more dollars then the new one. Do you think its worth the extra money, or no? Also if anyone has smelled both please let me know the differences between the OG and new bottles. By the way this isnt me breaking a rule of the sub and asking what to buy. I mainly want to know what the difference between the 2 are.
Bond No. 9 - Chinatown - Yuck!
I used to love Chinatown by Bond No. 9. I had a bottle of it 18 years ago and it was my favorite. I’ve been getting back into perfume and decided to purchase a sample. It is not at all how I remember. I Remember it being rich and warm. Fruity and spicy. Now it is like I’m getting hit up the head with gardenias. Not to mention it just smells cheap. submitted by /u/Effective_Trick_8665 [link] [comments]
Coming from a newbie collector, would the Heretic perfume samples I ordered have gone bad after sitting on the porch for over 2 weeks? (I thought they were stolen)
I ordered some samples from Heretic and they were either misdelivered or stolen, but heretic kindly sent me a replacement and when I went to grab them from the mail they weren't there, I looked all over my property. Well one of my roommates just found them in a box on the porch while looking for a package she thought was stolen. The temperature has fluctuated a bit it's been hot some days and it has rained, but the box holding the perfume doesn't seem as if it warped or anything. I tried the samples on paper and they don't smell rancid.
Fragrance with no online presence?
TL;DR I bought a fragrance from TJMaxx, cannot find it anywhere online This is my first ever fragrance, I’ve been lurking around fragrance communities, and on a whim decided to buy some random 15$ fragrance at TJMaxx. I was mostly goaded by my friend to buy it, and I think I like it, but I wanted to see what people online thought of it. But I couldn’t find it anywhere, I checked fragrantica, basenotes, just straight up google search and I only found someone selling it on ebay.
Louboutin Loubiluna Review
Louboutin Loubiluna Another rung in my fig ladder. After owning Debaser, Philosykos, Ille Pourpre, Fig Infusion, Fig Tea and basically most known and unknown fig fragrances, I thought I couldn't be surprised when it came to the fig note. Enter Loubiluna. I was first drawn to Luna due to its gorgeous bottle. But once I smelled this gorgeous scent, i was a goner. Luna is unlike any other fig scent. Its dark, dry, aristocratic and mysterious. I imagine this is what Pharoahs and their queens of old would've been wearing.
L’Entropiste Introduces Festin: A Feast of Dark Fruit, Truffles, and Oud
L’Entropiste presents Festin, a new fragrance exploring the extravagant world of an imperial Roman banquet. Inspired by the image of a feast continuing inside Nero’s palace while Rome burns outside, its concept brings together indulgence, sensuality, and the tension between splendour and destruction. "Intensely powerful, deliberately excessive, Festin is the scent of one who dares. "We do not ... Missing person by plur
I recently was going through all my scents in my collection and one of the perfumes I own is missing person by phlur. I absolutely love father figure, it’s one of my most worn scents, second to extra milk by dedcool. I absolutely adore close to the skin/skin scents. But I just want some opinions, because on my skin all my smell is cleaning product. Almost like swisher jet. In Sephora I immediately fell in love when I tried it on the tester. But on me the scent, it’s less skin like on me and I just smell like a cleaning product 😖.
The daily lemming

I clearly know way less about perfumes than i thought lol
I recently tried out different fragrance notes at aromaverse and realized i know way less about perfumes than I thought. Some scents I didn’t really like on their own but ended up smelling surprisingly good when combined with others. It was fun experimenting with different combinations and figuring out what worked together. For those who are into perfumes, how did you learn which notes go well together? Do you usually experiment or stick to combinations you already know you like? submitted by /u/No_Box119 [link] [comments]
TJ Maxx finds
I noticed the retired NEST Sunkissed Hibiscus 50ml (for $29), should I go for it? If I end up not liking it could I sell it or was this a discontinued scent b/c no one wants it...? Also wow Flowerbomb travel size for $16 and I'm definitely curious about the marshmallow blush but that someone opened and then returned it is a little concerning?
Mocha Absolu by Dusita: The Drink of Human Kindness
The gourmand genre is overshadowing everything in its stride, commercially dominating the market, especially in the 17-40 age demographic. It's not something to cry about, of course; people need the jolt of newness to respark their interest in perfumery. The French brand Parfums Dusita lately reinvents gourmand accords in an ineffable way, beyond merely comforting; chic, refined, never inducing th...
