If God gave me critical thinking, honest unbelief honors God more than belief out of fear
Thesis: If a creator God exists and deliberately made me a critical thinker, then refusing to believe without evidence is not rebellion against God but fidelity to how I was made. Belief motivated by fear of punishment or hope of reward is not love, and a just God would value honest doubt over fearful or transactional belief.
Do Good People Get Hurt?

Your Life Runs Away
Moist summer greens dry into yellows, oranges, and reds. Soon, leaves swirl down in wind that has a bite. Birds fly south overhead. Light softens as the days shorten. Sweaters and fleeces come out. It’s fall. I love it! Yet every autumn pierces me. The year is ending — already. All these changes remind me that I’m ending too. I’m just as brief as a leaf’s final ride to the ground. Life runs away like time. But where does it go?
Why God Wills Purity

Missions Monday (2026-10-12)
Welcome to r/reformed. Missions should be on our mind every day, but it's good to set aside a day to talk about it, specifically. Missions includes our back yard and the ends of the earth, so please also post here or in its own post stories of reaching the lost wherever you are. Missions related post never need to wait for Mondays, of course. And they are not restricted to this thread.
If God is omniscient, He has created countless souls to be damned eternally without their say in it
It doesn't make much sense to me and demeans free will in a pretty big way. Free will is a whole different discussion, but the point still stands. We don't choose to go to Hell with an all-powerful God. The universe is exactly as He wanted it to be. He created our souls, mapped out our desires and actions. So why would he create souls he knew would be sent to Hell?

Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry - Biblical scholarship, theological research, and Christian apologetics.
I am 100% convinced of the Reformed Faith, but do not find it comforting
I want to preface this by saying that my son recently let us know that he is struggling with his faith and currently considers himself an agnostic who is open to being wrong. To his credit, he is meeting with our pastor and studying some fairly in-depth material on the resurrection with him. I recognize that I have some emotional stuff going on with all of this.
What “Kyrios” Means in the Bible
The English word church comes from the Greek word kyriakē, which is a form of the noun kyriakos and means, that which is owned or possessed by the kyrios. So then, what does kyrios mean? This is an important word in the New Testament because it is the Greek word for “Lord” and it is the New Testament word that translates the Old Testament covenant name for God—Yahweh—and the Hebrew title adonai. When the psalmist says, “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” (Ps.
The Contradictory Genealogies of Jesus: A Problem Christians Have Never Convincingly Solved
Matthew and Luke give conflicting genealogies for Joseph. - Matthew 1:16 says Joseph's father was Jacob. - Luke 3:23 says Joseph's father was Heli. - Matthew traces Joseph through Solomon, while Luke traces him through Nathan, both sons of David. A common Christian explanation is that Luke actually records Mary's genealogy. But where is the evidence? Neither Gospel says this. Both explicitly name Joseph. There is also no established independent early tradition identifying Jacob or Heli as Mary's father.

Christianity and Perimenopause: Staying Faithful When Your Hormones Crash Out | Hilary Morrison
What does it look like to remain faithful to Christ when your hormones feel like they’re crashing out? In this first episode of a two-part series on perimenopause and menopause, Alisa shares her own experience with hot flashes, sleep disruption, anxiety, and intense mental and emotional symptoms—and how learning to care for both her spiritual and physical health changed everything. She is joined by physician assistant Hillary Morrison, who has spent more than a decade working in functional and integrative medicine. Together, they discuss what actually happens to a woman’s hormones during perimenopause, common symptoms to watch for, why some women struggle more than others, and the connection between hormonal changes, sleep, mood, weight, and overall health. They also discuss hormone replacement therapy, progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, testing options, nutritional deficiencies, thyroid and gut health, and how women can advocate for themselves when seeking medical care. Most importantly, Alisa and Hillary consider these questions through a Christian worldview. Hormonal changes may make obedience more difficult, but they do not define us or excuse sin. At the same time, caring for the physical body God has given us is not somehow less spiritual. Whether you are currently in perimenopause, preparing for it, or trying to better understand a woman you love, this conversation offers practical information, biblical encouragement, and hope for navigating this season faithfully. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This video is sponsored by: RANGE LEATHER American-Made Craftsmanship from Wyoming Go to www.rangeleather.com for more information Use my code: ALISA GOOD RANCHERS American Meat Delivered Go to https://go.goodranchers.com/alisa for more information.
