And for dessert, we’ll have the Penguin Chocolate Cake
There’s nothing wrong with a little treat. LEGO Masters Japan veteran Fumiaki Tateoka (Fuhmin) offers a cure for your sweet tooth with the Penguin Chocolate Cake, a build that’s as beautifully presented as it is assembled. Part 15470 has been frequently used by LEGO to represent cake, cupcakes, and various desserts – but rarely in a scale this large. We love when real-world objects intersect with LEGO photography and the fine dish presentation is simply delightful here.

The perfect first* Dragon Ball LEGO set
LEGO Icons 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku is a set that people have been wanting for a very long time. A globally popular manga and anime series, Dragon Ball (and its successor, Dragon Ball Z) now finally has a LEGO set, and it's clear that the designers working on the set care deeply about the source material and getting everything right. Because of its relatively small size and limited number of minifigures (there's just the one Goku in here), this feels like a property that the LEGO Group isn't quite done with yet, but even if this does end up being the one and only Dragon Ball LEGO set, this is far from a disappointment. #fcsummit26

An alien island in an alien world
Back in February we covered Vangelis‘ awesome spaceship, which was up for a vote in the BrickLink Designer Program. Alas, sadly it didn’t make it through to production, but that hasn’t stopped Vangelis from giving the ship a proper setting with an amazing diorama. The most striking thing about the scene is, of course, the purple water, which immediately keys you in that this is an alien world, but the water is expertly crafted with a great natural, mottled effect as it shallows around the island.
One moment, please

Ep. 217 - The Ultimate LEGO Collector’s Dilemma: What To KEEP & What to SELL?
What LEGO sets in your collection could you NEVER bring yourself to sell? That question came up during a conversation with a coworker. I told them that if I ever moved and had to seriously downsize, I’d probably sell most of my LEGO collection rather than move it all. Then they asked the obvious follow-up: “Would you keep anything?” Oh yeah. Absolutely. So for this Wild Card Wednesday, I’m counting down the 10 LEGO sets in my collection that I would NEVER sell. And these aren’t necessarily the 10 “best” sets I own.

Review: 11505-1 - Woodland Mushrooms
Let's start with the elephant in the room: mushrooms belong in the Fungi kingdom, a completely separate life form from plants, and as such technically don't fall under the Botanicals theme. I am giving this a pass though, as the model depicts both plants and mushrooms, the latter feeding on plant material on the forest floor. I wouldn't mind a dedicated theme though.
