3DPOD 317: 3D Printing at ORNL, Part I – Alexander Plotkowski
Alexander Plotkowski is all about developing new alloys. At Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), he’s the Group Leader for Computational Coupled Physics within the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division. He’s done in-depth research on controlling grain patterns, tried to predict the microstructure of parts, helped develop tools to predict and validate simulations, and developed DuAlumin-3D. We learn more about that material, which is interesting for many different reasons. But we also explore the intersection of particle accelerators,

Problem after changing the motherboard
So, I usually joke that my Ender 3 is like the Ship of Theseus since I changed almost every piece. The last ones were the motherboard and the screen, but now I can't install the firmware. Reading some posts in the past, I formatted the microSD and downloaded the latest firmware from the Creality website. I double-checked that I didn't ease up on the cables (I hate them) and tried different solutions, but every time the display remains blue, and the extruder block moves on the axis without stopping.

Scorched Plate? Residue? Jumping?
New to printing, but not new printer. After repeated attempts at a print, it's almost impossible to get things off of the plate, and residue is left behind. According to original owner, this was never an issue. I've tried heating the plate and scraping, letting it cool completely and scraping, using alcohol, washing and scrubbing, but each print is leaving extensive residue, and only one of maybe 10 prints has been successful.

[US-IN] If anyone can make this I would greatly appreciate it and no it’s not a gun part, it’s for a computer mouse
Ok so I’m trying not to spend a lot of money on something complicated or going through a long hard process to make one, I’m look for a gun mouse looking basically exactly like this but the problem with this one is that you have to make an email to download it, and then once you create an account it won’t let you download it, it’s like an endless loop you can’t fix, If someone could find it make a better solution to this I’d greatly appreciate it, I saw another one on makerworld but it’s complicated to set up, pretty bad reviews,
