Designed this Arlecchino from scratch. Had to do some sketchy UV resin "welding" to save the print
I don't actually play Genshin Impact, but my girlfriend showed me Arlecchino's design and I instantly wanted to sculpt it. Modeled it from scratch back in August, went on vacation, and completely forgot about the file for 2.5 months. Finally fired up the Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra this week.
What is wrong with my ironing settings?
Prusa mk3s, orcaslicer with standard pla. There appears to be a raised lip on some of the corners. The one good tile was the first, and the half good to the upper left of it was the second. I keep my pla in a desicant dry box so moisture isn't the problem. I hear a click from the print head on each tile, but it isn't colliding with anything, likely the extruder. submitted by /u/Jammer_Hammer_Games [link] [comments]
Maintenance manual
I keep having problem keeping my workstation clean and my lcd screen safe (the printing one, not the interface one). I have a elegoo mars 2 but I can't keep it clean. I read and followed articles, YouTube and reddit post but I think I'm missing some fundamental. Is there something like "resin printing for dummies" or an actual book like "How to diagnose the problem step by step". Like reading material thicker than elegoo manual. submitted by /u/Middle_Dangerous [link] [comments]
The FPGA Chronicles: Ready To Probe
In the last few installments, we looked at using the Tang Nano 20K with both the GOWIN tools and some open-source tools. The open-source tools certainly had the advantage of letting you simulate an
Prusament Pellets: Raw material batches for large-format 3D printing or small-scale polymer research & development
Buying small batches of polymer pellets for a laboratory or workshop may be difficult: Raw materials are usually sold in tons or at least hundreds of kilos. But when you need just a few (dozen) kilos for lab use, or large-format
GE Patent Uses Laser Flicker To Spot LPBF Defects
In metal LBPF, a laser can look perfectly healthy while the powder beneath it is not. The post GE Patent Uses Laser Flicker To Spot LPBF Defects appeared on Fabbaloo.
My C1+ MMU3 setup (small incremental upgrade) - please disregard my workshop mess!
I had my C1+ and MMU3 since last April. Extremely happy with my purchase. I mainly print in multicolor for my contracts and the MMU3 have been super reliable. Over 4000 tool change so far and not one error (I really hope I do not jinx myself here!!). Anyway, the only "mildly" annoying thing about the MMU3 is the setup itself if you want to directly print from a dryer (see my pictures, PrintDry Pro3 + Polyester).
The Hidden Economics of Metal 3D Printing: Closing the Loop in Powder Management
Automation is a very topical thing in additive manufacturing at the moment. With renewed scale, some clients are fervently looking to automate production. Other business cases only make sense with
Regina Margherita researchers rate 3D reconstruction above 2D imaging for pediatric kidney surgery
Researchers at Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital and the University of Turin have reported that 3D virtual reconstruction (3DVR) was rated above computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for planning surgery on complex pediatric kidney tumors. The retrospective study covered eight patients under 18 treated between October 2021 and January 2025. A panel of

There’s been plenty of business activity in additive manufacturing (AM) lately, with new deals, partnerships and investments in production. One of the bigger moves comes from Sweden, where investment firm
Can India’s AM Push Help Make it a Viable Supplement to China?
Diversifying manufacturing supply chains to locales outside of China has nothing to do with actually cultivating “substitutes” to the Chinese economy. The real stakes are these: China is an irreplaceable
Can 3D Printing Help Build the Global Building Boom?
Charles G. Goulding looks at how 3D printing could deliver faster, more material-efficient construction for everything from wind-turbine bases and water tanks to bridges, seawalls and postwar rebuilding. The post Can 3D Printing Help Build the Global Building Boom? appeared on Fabbaloo.

UpNano Launches 3D Adaptive Resolution for Two-Photon Polymerization
What should you automate next? Get ideas at AMA: Software 2026. Vienna-based UpNano has introduced 3D Adaptive Resolution (3DAR), a technology that shapes the printing voxel along the X, Y and Z axes during two-photon polymerization (2PP) 3D printing, so that it follows the geometry being built. The first 3DAR-capable printers have been purchased by

An open letter to Prusa from a fully blind 3D enthusiast: I made your slicer accessible to screen readers
Dear Prusa, My name is Edis, and I am 100 % blind. These pictures show a Creality printer and a Perkins Braille typewriter. However, what I will tell you about today is tested primarily on a Prusa Core 1. The typewriter was what I used back in elementary school, about 25 years ago. In 2023, I participated in a workshop on 3D printing organized by the Danish Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The workshop was meant to show how this technology could be used for people without sight. Needless to say, I got consumed.
