Prusa Screw and Nut
Does anyone here have any knowledge of this model: https://preview.redd.it/i4cjhkwbj9vh1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5e2e1318115de8e0910847a0210c5a3f72541d8 I'm trying to design and print a longer version of the female threads to use inside of a block. I measure the major diameter of the thread to be 35mm. The thread pitch appears to be 3.75mm. The standard pitch for a coarse M35 screw is 3.5mm so this must be a custom size optimized for printing. It does print and work very well.
Taking the plunge!
I got into 3D printing last summer when I came into a bit of money and decided to purchase the X1C from Bambu Labs. It had good reviews and Bambu Labs seemed to be the most user friendly option for absolute beginners like myself. After my print needs increased later that fall, I purchased a second, more economical, P1S from them. It’s been a great learning experience, but as nearly 100% of my prints are multicolor, I have NEVER felt good about the sheer amount of waste the AMS/Purge system create.

Resin 3D Printing Ventilation Is Still Easy To Get Wrong

Been a while since I last used my printer 😅
I haven’t printed in months. Had this layer issue back then but brushed it off by just sanding. But I should probably fix it now that I’m back to printing. Some stuff like the bottom of the print just needs more supports on the peg I believe, that’s why it isn’t straight and had those issue, same with the feathers maybe. But there’s weird layer lines in the back and chest, and a more noticeable one on the face. Not really sure what it could be. submitted by /u/Op-X4 [link] [comments]

Help with irregular layer lines
I’ve been having problems with irregular or inconsistent layer lines on my Ender 3. The lines appear random but are consistent across prints. The leadscew is very slightly bent but I’ve read that it should be fine. I’ve installed a Z axis motor spacer, made sure there is little resistance in the filament path and also checked the extruder for any cracks. Any help would be appreciated. submitted by /u/rohkha76 [link] [comments]
I Snuck a 3D Printer on Vacation! #3dprinting #positron
Last year, I secretly brought a 3D printer on vacation to prove to my wife just how useful 3D printing can be. Unfortunately, my 3D-printed beach hooks broke after just a short time. This year, I wanted to do better! Using filaSim, I analyzed the weak points, optimized the design, and made the hooks almost twice as strong. But did they survive the vacation this time? First layer over supports and wall under-extruded?
Hello there. I'm having this problem with some of my prints. The first layer on top of supports doesn't make a good contact with the walls and during printing, in some places, it looks like it's being blown up from bellow, it doesn't sag. Also, the wall lines(being placed on top of a support) are being pulled by the nozzle and don't form a nice corner and they also don't stick together and come apart. The other surfaces look good enough. What settings can I play with without affecting other parts of the print? Thanks

[USA, TX - Frisco/DFW] Looking for resin print commission - 1/72 I-400 submarine diorama base
Hi all, Looking for someone to resin print this 1/72 I-400 submarine diorama base for me: https://www.aladdinmodel.com/product-page/1-72-i-400-submarine-diorama Aladdin does not provide the STL. Their system generates a printer-specific sliced file, so I’ll need your exact printer model before I purchase it. They confirmed Formlabs will not work, but consumer resin printers such as Elegoo and Anycubic should. I’m in Frisco, TX, but I’m completely fine with shipping. I really just want to get this printed.
[USA, east coast DMV] I need a few simple one-way latches for a project
Hi all and thanks in advance! I simply need it to be able to push things past it in one direction, up an incline, and bounce back into position via spring. Similar to how a door knob latch works. The overall shape needs to flat and wider at the base, like a trapezoid. With a max width of the thing being around 2inches wide, and max length around 1-1.5inches at most. And I’m going to need a few of these made. Hit me up and let’s talk prices. submitted by /u/Carefulissatrap [link] [comments]
Designed this Arlecchino from scratch. Had to do some sketchy UV resin "welding" to save the print
I don't actually play Genshin Impact, but my girlfriend showed me Arlecchino's design and I instantly wanted to sculpt it. Modeled it from scratch back in August, went on vacation, and completely forgot about the file for 2.5 months. Finally fired up the Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra this week.
What is wrong with my ironing settings?
Prusa mk3s, orcaslicer with standard pla. There appears to be a raised lip on some of the corners. The one good tile was the first, and the half good to the upper left of it was the second. I keep my pla in a desicant dry box so moisture isn't the problem. I hear a click from the print head on each tile, but it isn't colliding with anything, likely the extruder. submitted by /u/Jammer_Hammer_Games [link] [comments]
